I gained practical exposure to oil and gas operations, particularly in the solids control department, and learned how different departments coordinate to support offshore and onshore activities. The hands-on tasks, clear guidance from supervisors, and opportunities to contribute to actual projects made the experience both engaging and professionally rewarding.
The challengesAs an intern, some of the technical processes and industry-specific terms were challenging to grasp initially, especially since this was my first exposure to the oil and gas field. However, with guidance from colleagues and self-learning, I was able to adapt over time.
