Overall good for working maybe 1-2 years if youre a MyStep, recommend doing upskilling and self-learning during this timeThe good things- Flexible working time (can start enter office between 8-9am).
- Can allocate up to 4 hours off-work time to do other tasks such as medical check-up, vehicle maintenance etc, but need to replace those hours at a later time.
- Cafeteria nearby provide decently priced, catering style meals during breakfast and lunch, alongside bazaar selling assortment of other meals and wet-groceries (fruits, vegetables) every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- Nearby mosques for Friday prayers
- Encouraged to learn other tools than the usual in our own time for self-growth and upskilling
- Sponsored meals, transports and accommodation when attending meetings and courses outside
- Close to public transport so dependent on where your live, takes around 20-30min going to office, also cheap, RM1 per trip
The challengesDisclaimer, working as a MyStep 41, so experiences may differ from other MyStep grade or contract/permanent workers;
- Working condition will be dependent on which sectors/teams/projects youre assigned to, so you can either very busy doing work or very lax
- Short allocated AL and SL (1 day AL for every 1 month of work, 8 days of SL), cant carry forward when renew contract
- Yearly contract, may or may not be extended
- Gross salary RM2100 for grade 41, which is the highest grade for a MyStep worker, no increase when contract renewed
