Toxic, hectic, overloaded scope (finance, logistics, order management, planning)
The good thingsFortune 500 company with a diverse business. Opportunity to work with stakeholders across the world
The challengesToxic department environment. Solo working environment because each person handles once country and does not understand other country's operations. Team mate and team lead may no know the country's process while pushing for things to miraculously happen despite the fact that the logistics industry has its strict standards and procedures. The department relies on manual to calculate costing, requiring detailed line by line items input from invoice, packing list, bill of lading. Inputs required are item code, item description, HS code, item value, item weight, freight costs, BL no, container no, container type, ETD, ETA, and every invoice charges from liner consisting of EDI, customs clearance, terminal handling, port charges, and haulage charge. The job is 80% manual data entry + 50% operations which requires 130% output from a person.

I am unluckly to meet a less patient colleague, only willing to guide me every task at once , yelling at me , increase sound volume when i did mistake and asking repeating question .Job task require a lot manual data Enty , system very old school , i felt myself more alike data entry which can be easily handle by a form 5 student . Everyone work over time from home . Working hour consider more than 12 hours daily . Need sacrifice personal time , weekend , public holiday just for Excel data entry
The good thingsBenefit good , Pantry full of drinks , snack , biscuits .
The challengesHeavy Workload , Long working hour , no work life balances , old school system
