    An old school culture company
The good thingsCannot really think of any. Probably only thing is the C's level who are helpful.
The challengesCannot get proper and clear direction from the HOD. No proper yearly planning on what to deliver. You will propose your plan but no sound decision or delay in delivery and end up you are the one who bear the responsibility.

Think carefully before you join :-)
The good things- Good bonus even Covid Pandemic and good staff benefits - Learn insurance knowledge - Can claim OT and phone bill (depends on department) - Chances to 'fight' with stakeholders
The challenges- Company hierarchy - Salary will make you cry - Not easy to get promoted as they need to prove to upper management what is your value - 'Counter offer' is just to hold you back to help them to hit target, don't think they will offer you for higher pay. - HR processing speed is like snail. - If you apply for programmer/developer position, please DON'T join sales department, you don't have any chances to give any suggestion or timeline as HOD will help you to provide timeline. Sometimes you need to work 15 hours to help HOD to hit his target. - Meeting everyday. Do expect to have meeting after working hour and even holiday :-)

Good paying job but high workload
The good thingsPay is above average Benefits are abundant People are generally nice.
The challengesSystems are always problematic, always got bugs and errors hampering workflow. Some bosses dont see eye to eye with other bosses they would rather see burnt bridges You could feel there is an under current rebellion among the staff against their colleagues and bosses. Really high expectations over results from Scrum that will affect their bonuses.

IT Department needs to do makeover
The good thingsThe colleagues are very understandable about the stressful pressure from the higher-ups and encourage you to do your responsible as patients and sincere as possible. Without them, I wouldn't make as far as a few years in the organization. The perks are also good and the working hours are okay. Work life balance can be tolerable with your superior and wouldn't be much messing with your life.
The challengesA certain higher up attitude is/are the sole reason why I left the company. As soon as I left. he or she also left and the department become prosper. Moving upwards in your career is a huge challenge as the bosses are hiring external people to fill the roles rather than bringing up internal and experience and well capable staff.
