    A Place for Interns and Fresh Grads
    The good thingsAs someone who has almost zero knowledge, I learn quite a handful new things here. Seniors are very supportive and approachable whenever you need help. The allowance they give for interns also quite high compared to other companies so I would recommend future interns to join here. Its a win win situation since you get to learn a lot of things for your future career and you also got paid to do so. Sounds great right?!
    The challengesThis company is still using the old technology and we juniors had to do a lot of research just to adopt new ones. For someone who's more interested in technical jobs, everyday in office will bore you to death because the working environment here is too tight sometimes you feel like your manager is watching whatever you do. I wish this company implements hybrid working days since most of the time the work can be done remotely and the amount of energy it takes just to come to office is more than doing the work itself.

    A tech company afraid of new technology
    The good thingsReally friendly colleagues and managers Decent cafeteria food Walking distance from public transport for certain work locations You'll learn a lot because the amount of work is a lot You'll learn to be independent because mentor mentee culture is non-existent
    The challengesAll the problems in the company stem from being too slow in adopting new technologies: - Heavy workload because no clear project management system to distribute work - Messy codebase, difficult to deploy and debug code because no devops and no good version control system - Impossible to communicate with other departments properly because of language gaps and no proper communication system - Can't fix the above problems because new technologies are "difficult to learn" and "pose security risks" - No seniors to guide junior employees because they saw the above problems and left for greener pastures Other negatives not related to the technology: - Bare minimum company benefits - Follows banking company schedules, when other companies get holidays or WFH you may not get them But in the end, at least they managed to see their problems, and are working to fix them, but until those problems are fixed (5-10 years maybe?) this review still represents the status of the company at the time of writing.
