Heavy workload, long working hours. Rigid institutional framework.
The good thingsThe subject director is very helpful and will assist new teachers in their development.
The challengesHidden time costs are high, making it impossible to balance work and life. The administrative system is rigid, with much of the training being pointless. It offers little benefit to new teachers.

Not recommended to young people who value freedom and creativity.
The good thingsThe junior level science department is amazing. We work together on many things and understand each other's difficulties.
The challengesMost of your supervisors (head of department, principal etc) are senior people and they are very conservative with their thinking. Since most of them have been teachers for a quite a long time they tend to forget how to communicate normally with other adults which can be quite annoying. Some even have a superiority complex which makes them difficult to negotiate with.
