A right place to really learn procurement process and enhance your skills.
The good thingsLearn procurement in details with guidance from the bosses. Bosses are very supportive and understanding as long as we can deliver our work. For me, this the place where I really learn about procurement. In facts, some of the knowledge were applied to my new company as an improvement. Working with FPSO have give additional value to my knowledge and even to my ownself.
The challengesAt first it was challenging to understand and handle the work with environment that is not encouraging. However after some time, manage to learn and handle boss expectations. It takes time and mental spirit to adapt the stress. But managed to handle it and get along with the bosses. Tips, try to get along & understand the bosses before you jump to any conclusion. Peace.

A great place to gain knowledge and experience
The good thingsWell structured procurement procedure and processes to ensure transparency and integrity not compromised. Good exposure on sourcing of variety of supply and services for multiple offshore facilities operated within Malaysia and Thailand.
The challengesSome of the processes could be automated to ease the administrative works and achieve faster turn-around time. Planning of purchase in advance will also help to minimize last minutes request.

My work is interesting and challenging .
The good thingsOur management has been constantly supportive through good and bad times. Constantly train employers and encourage learning. Give good appraisal if the employers did well in their job. Every quarterly engage with the offshore senior management to listen and assist to their issues and grievance at offshore with regard to safety , HR and operation issue.
The challengesOur work environment can be so challenging, dealing with clients . We need to come out with solution within a short period without jeopardizing the safety and operation. The offshore staff, its a great challenge to ensure they aware with the safety culture, to speak up and also issue STOP WORK where required.
