Not recommended, looks good on paper but lose your morale and soul
The good thingsWork balance flexibility, access to client C-levels, understand business trends, knowledge driven, new topics or subject of research
The challengesCompany has underlying issues and problems that tends to be hidden under the carpet for years. Every idea is a white elephant and exaggerated to look great in optics. No career progression and seems to feel regress operationally. Your colleagues might stay for a short stint and their replacement might take months or never.

    Great introduction to consulting
The good thingsFocus are can be tailored to area of interest assuming not already covered by others
The challengesManagement and superiors have the tendency to overlook staff welfare, lack integrity and can be very biased

    A new insight
The good things- Get to know what is a consulting company and the works they do - Great colleagues - Super-friendly HR staffs - Great office environment - Flexible work hours (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm) - Adequate monthly allowance
The challenges- The training from the supervisor could be improved - Too high expectation from the supervisor - The job can become boring after long period - Sometimes the job requires to work overtime and outside office hours

A whole new experience and gained new thoughts on the IT industry
The good things1. Flexible work time (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm) 2. Super-friendly staffs 3. A decent internship allowance 4. Lovely office with pantry 5. Laptop provided 6. Office located near a shopping mall, enjoyable after office hours
The challenges1. Sometimes required to work outside office hours 2. Communication is always required 3. Training was not quite sufficient and needed self learning most of the time 4. Environment can be quite sleepy at times 5. Supervisor did not give a proper objective

Great place to work and gain experience
The good thingsAbility to be independent and making mistakes as part of the learning curve
The challengesIf you are not a risk taker, independent and creative you will hardly survive.

    Purposeful
The good thingsHad a birds-eye view of how projects are started. Really expected to self-learn. Independent learning is seen as an asset. Really mature and friendly work environment. Worked under a really meaningful and good boss. (BU depended)
The challengesIndependent learning has its limits. Depending on the BU be prepared to work extra hard. Maybe look towards forming a structured graduate programme. Would do well to attract young talent in the future.

    Associate Consultant
The good thingsFlexible working hours, and that's about it.
The challengesTraining exist but with LOW VALUE ADDED content, lack of industry exposure despite having to write about the industry. Cold callings to get market information-which is usually confidential anyway.

    A disorganised MNC badly managed
The good thingsGood exposure to management consulting, opportunities to be placed abroad for assignments within APAC
The challengesWins consulting projects by slashing prices to beat bigger consulting firms, ends up straining consultants to work on too many projects simultaneously. Despite being in market research for decades, does not subscribe to any database.

    Personally and Professionally enriching
The good thingsFlexibility, high profile work, great colleagues & caring bosses, ample opportunities to grow. Full autonomy to drive business.
The challengesSome service business units should be made to align to business direction.

    Flexible Fun Workplace
The good thingsOn top of the flexi working hours, we also were given to work from home.
The challengesWorking within APAC and South Asia countries, different time zone is making the communication stumble in between (at certain point of time), each country have their own compliance and regulations. However these challenges keep me grow faster.

    Not very impressive MNC
The good thingsReceived good guidance from my reporting manager which allowed me to receive more challenging tasks.
The challengesManagement should be more transparent in decision making. Also need to work on their company's culture and work ethics. Understand that some of the leadership level directors do not have much ethics in running the business.

The good things-Exposure to global work. -Able to broaden your network -Improve your communication skills
The challenges-Have a very tight deadline of project with project manager -Have to contact with global industrial people which make it hard for you to meet the deadline and you have to work extra hour to make the calls (most problem) -Job scope mainly to sit in front of PC and finding research.

Experience might differ base on the boss you get
The good thingsSome top management are really nice to work with, flexible working hours, exposure to new skills, you will be given chance to give ideas
The challengesVery high workload, turnaround time are short most of the time, salary increment might not be proportional to your contribution, superiority might be present

    F & S Experience
The good thingsCorporate setting Corporate experience MNC experience Professional management Pleasant to deal with Work life balance
The challengesToo much inter-team dependence (especially for large projects) affecting deadlines Not always the follow-through required on tasks - frustrating Constant follow-up to obtain outcomes needed for project-work The project subject/themes can be fairly unexciting

Mediocre Place for Someone who's Hungry for Change
The good thingsGreat pantry - in short life is good in office. Comfortable and somewhat indulging. Great location, great household name for your CV.
The challengesWork is mediocre. Lack of collaborative environment. Hard for me to find any affinity to this office.

    Worst career choice ever!
The good thingsThe people, the team I'm working with are a bunch of awesome people. The supervisor managing the team is terrible though. He likes to micro manage, and most of the time, not helping with the team at all. I believe if they had hired a local to manage the team, it would be a totally different story altogether.
The challengesWorking in sales, I do understand that our numbers are very important. But the management is not doing anything to help us with it. We had to fight for accounts from our other offices across APAC, which I find very counter productive. We are also treated like the bottom barrel sales people by the other sales people from our other APAC offices, scraping on bad accounts.
