    company run by CFO and blaming culture
    The good thingsgood colleague, good and chill working areas, good benefits as of now
    The challengeseverything must follow CFO 2022 direction. practically company run by CFO and the company is going backward like to 90s... such a waste when it was properly set up with good structure from Shell.. CFO made all decision, but any mistake/wrong, the department will get the blame

    My first working experience
    The good thingsHengyuan Refining Company (formerly known as Shell Refining Company) gave the best work experience one can ever ask for. What I like most is the friendly working environment there that treats all employees like family. Hengyuan Refining Company also practises safety and a healthy lifestyle.
    The challengesDuring my time, contract staff were excluded from certain events. It would be nice if contract staff were also included so they could gain the same experience.

    I love Inspection Department
    The good thingsThe working culture within the inspectors and engineers. Lots of knowledge and experiences I gain from their guidance. Even though they have a lot of things to do especially inspectors, they willing to bring you to the site, make a sharing session like a mentor mentee, explain to you until you grab the concepts. There is no limit in seeking knowledge. What I like the most is no double standard between us even you are contractors, engineers or inspectors. Respect each others. Not all companies have this kind of good culture.

    Invaluable Work-life Experience
    The good thingsThe company exhibits great effort in Quality, Health, Safety, Security & Environment (QHSSE) management. It also provides great opportunities and training for young interns and new employees. The staff there ensures engineers are entirely exposed to the workings and functions of the refinery .
    The challengesI faced little challenges at the company. Company politics are a given in joining any sort of establishment. Overall, I would highly recommend considering HRCPD as a choice to consider furthering your career or even beginning there.

    A very good environment to expose you to oil and gas
    The good thingsOther colleagues and superiors are very helpful and knowledgeable in their expert fields. I came from a different discipline of engineering, but I managed to cope and understand the process better. I get to know a lot on corrosion engineering and it helped me understand how inspection team works.
    The challengesFast pace surrounding and not many opportunities for fresh grad to start career.

    Place where one can grow both in experience and bonds
    The good thingsDespite being trainees we were tasked to real world problems, yet all the experienced engineers are always providing guidance and help, thus not only can we grow in experience, but also in confidence as a to-be engineer. We were also guided thoroughly on rules and regulations before performing any hands-on task, i.e. compulsory overalls equipment upon entering site- which helped in prepping us for future employment.
    The challengesAs a trainee the only challenge I placed for myself is stress induced by fear from inexperience. Tasked to real world problems, the thought of committing errors were terrifying especially when it comes to large equipment in the oil and gas industry, for it may cause hazard to the environment (which is taken very seriously by company). However, as stated above, the experienced engineers were always ready to guide and give advice along the way.

    The good thingsFor me its was good days when i was worked at MNC environments and i was learn lot of ideas for mold myself for future on working environments. More over i was start to improved my speaking and listening skills when i was at SHELL Company as well.
    The challengesAll the projects and task was challenges for me; but i was take it easy whenever i was involved any jobs/task when i'm onsite. I start to change my mind set to love my job and enjoy it everyday.

    The good thingsIf you can survived in this company, in the future nothing can beat you. This is the right place for fresh graduate to gain new experience and at the same time, you will get to know the real world. Besides that, this is the only gas and oil company that really take a serious action on safety and health. Safety is their priority and at the same time, this is the new era for this company to shine like a diamond.
    The challengesEven though I am a trainee, my knowledge must be same level as the employee because everything I do, i would bring company's name and pride so I need to be a fast learner and catch up with them. Oil and gas is their main business so everyone need to know about it, how is the process in the plant and for me it is a good knowledge to know. What I want to say is along the way to be a good employee, there are lots of efforts that I need to do.

    The good thingsI have learnt new things a about safety and importance of it in a working company. The safety in the company is considered to be highlighted int that company. Moreover, the organization of the company is excellent. The working culture in SHELL its totally different and it has attracted me a lot. The workers working style is not working for money but for their knowledge as well to improve company level or range.
    The challengesThe environment in that company is new which the culture that i have undergone in university and here is totally different. The working culture of shell is totally inspired me to attracted to it and make myself comfort to be a apart of the company. The safety which is out of my scope for my studies but give me a undeniable knowledge on safety and makes me to realize the importance of it.

Achieving final assurance is key to every aspect of work and play whether internally and externally. A great family with lots of care to each other.
