My payslip was sent to my colleague because of their system error, 2 months of payslip were sent to my colleague alongside with the password. Not sure if violates any of the PDPA law

    Not 'fresh graduate' friendly
The good thingsAbility to work from home (Rotational schedule) Free-flow food at pantry (Irrelevant since we're mostly working from home)
The challengesDuring my first month I had to watch a training video. One of the trainees in the video only lasted 2 months. They expect you to know everything from the ground up. Training will be provided (but only material like outdated documentation and video discussions). No hands-on training or pair-programming. Using which tools? Which database to connect? At which environment we're doing? Good luck learning them by yourself and get scolded by your tech lead. Although seniors are helpful, they are kinda busy and you're left with the other juniors and interns guiding each other.

Pray to be assigned to a good team with a good lead.
The good thingsSome colleague is very knowledgeable and friendly, but some colleagues are useless and they work more than 1-2 years and still have to ask intern how to do this and that.
The challengesHave to learn things by ourselves and ask good colleagues for guidance. Lead is unexperience and will blame things on interns and colleagues, when things went well there are no compliments. Basically they will just blame you on everything. Unbalanced working hours, lead still expect you to reply after working hours. When there are issue, lead will post in group to question you for the issue, won't private message you.

Learn much? yeah sure, but be prepared.
The good things- Somewhat above average benefits - Able to find good colleague as friends (initially) - Learn about the banking system in Malaysia - If you can endure the challenges below, then you are the right person for this job!
The challenges- OT Culture is strong. (They expects you to OT) This is 2020, I dont see the point of OT and bothering employee pass working hour - Constant relocation of "RESOURCES". I've been relocated to several projects in the span of a year. Yeah sure you can learn a lot, but you will never find peace and the sense of feeling home at work. - Top management constantly using the words "RESOURCES" they treat employees as resources instead of an individual. - Noisy 3A floor, due to MCO no need to endure the noisy environment in 3A.

Training Provided and work life balance
The good thingsSimple Snack and beverage provided in the pantry. Sometimes they provide fruit as well but need to get it early as the quantity is less. Work life balance, not necessarily to reach or leave office on time.
The challengesNot really good for new joiner, nothing much to learn. The learning curve is strongly depending on which team you are in. The company structure is not systematic. Average benefits such as gym, medical, dental etc

it is a good place to learn for fresh graduate only
The good thingsUnlimited coffee and maggi in the pantry. Freshie can learn how banking system works. 1.3K for interns + claimable OT. Entry level staff starting salary 3 to 3.2K (depends on cgpa). Young, friendly colleagues.
The challengesNot a place for work life balance. Salary very little compared to the workload. Tight and sometimes unreasonable deadline. OT is normal. The clients or your colleagues might still trying to contact you even after working hour. High expectation from upper management. Very noisy workplace.

The good thingsStarting salary above 3K for freshie Claimable OT Friendly and young colleagues Knowledge on banking system
The challengesThe salary not worth it compared to the workload Decent benefits Ridiculous timeline Open concept office could be too noisy.. if one person laugh, the whole floor can hear Expectation quite high

Depend on which deparment you are in
The good thingshere you will get many experiences, no doubt about it, sometime senior will help you if their free,
The challenges-need more support to the new/ fresh graduate, -sometime they will throw you in the sea without asking you if you are good at swimming or not. -not equal work load compare to other group

Good working culture with a lot of added knowledge
The good thingsWorking culture within colleague as each colleagues never fail to help and give suggestion whenever requested. Our work is also productive as we don't only work but we do have activities as a group very often. Development wise, my leads never pressured us on the task. Our lead cares more about lending a helping hand when needed while making sure we can finish our work in the given time.
The challengesKnowledge from my studies don't really prepare us to face the working industry but I can say I picked up the knowledge from this workplace very fast as the knowledge share between each workers are very productive. Not talking about being totally not informative at all but sharing is caring. Even myself, whenever their suggestion we will not stop to give and that's how each other learned to grow.

Red flag company with old folks operating HR
The good thingsThere are some good and sincere colleagues - but the management level is super political and incapable of giving clear directions causing project team to suffer.
The challengesLike said above, political and not capable management. Their HR is like old folks home operation mode. All manual and things can be as bad as u can imagine. No trust to employees too.

    Good for career growth
The good thingsSuitable for fresh grad to build new experiences towards internet banking (Hitachi Ebworx) or Insurance(Hokenso). Awesome salary and lots of benefit they provide here. Responsive management if we got any question to ask. No work life balance is normal for those loves the job soon you will learn to adapt it.
The challengesNeed to adapt how the project works since some of the project has tight timeline to be submit. Overall there is nothing problem with the management towards me but somehow only personal issue with colleagues.

    No career growth / appreciation
The good thingsFriendly environment, if you manage to fill a gap with your skills, you can gain some experience
The challengesProject management is bad, with little concern towards employees’ career advancement. What’s promised during interviews may not be fulfilled. No real employee benefits and Contribution is unappreciated in terms of actions despite good performance.

    Good environment, bad work-life balance
The good thingsRelationship between coworker and manager is the best thing here. They were always willing to help beginner to learn. Probably a good place for fresh graduate to learn and gain experience.
The challengesWork-life balance is quite bad especially for the project-based team. Not a suitable job for people that already start a family.
