I have learned alot about corporate world with Lafargeholcim
The good thingsThe culture of the company. It is managed professionally and less hierarchical. Bosses are approachable and the benefits are promising. Integrity line is one of the best implementation as the company is opened to hear out employees concerns in order for the business to operate efficiently.
The challengesThe company could have improved in taking quick action whenever there are signs that the direction is slightly out of it's track. With that, the repercussions would have been detected earlier and the damage is fix at the initial stage.

The good thingsAbsolutely I'm enjoying industrial training here. A lot of things I learned from there. Lafarge Cement very strict about safety in order to control and minimize the accident occurs in the workplace and ensure workers and environment are save.
The challengesThe challenge can still be controlled but the working area is quite dusty. However, the issue can be solved by wearing a proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Experiencing to deal with many types of supplier behaviour
The good thingstrying hard to reach KPI standard in order to cut cost & giving a good services. I can anticipate the future needs and investigate supplier market. Find for the best supplier market and optimize the supply chain in order to cut cost. I learn how to improve with all suppliers engagement base on their best offers. I'm trying hard to perform competitive bidding and negotiate with a defined strategy.
The challengesWorking with slow system processor. They need to upgrade their internet coverage.

    Temporary Sales Coordinator
The good thingsIt is a good company where they have many different departments and industry. The chance to grow is very high. The company takes care their staff very well where they have a lots of activities out of office time.
The challengesI was there as a temporary staff; replacing a lady who went for maternity leave. They need to hire a replacement as they cannot find any internal staff to 'back-up' the position This is because each people has designated for specific task.

    Project Controller
    Jun 2015

    Project Controller
The good thingsInternational expatriate team with egalitarian Swiss culture. Leadership development course at IMD Switzerland. Great stretched assignment with rapid promotion if proved capable. Global standard, local management. Strategic alignment ensures great employee engagement. Generous benefits include multi million USD medical insurance, no limit on hotel and dining bill, group wide international siminar.
The challengesWork life balance could be hard. Frequent travel across the region is tiring. Managing the largest project worldwide for a Fortune Global 500 company is never going to be easy or for the faint hearted. Steep learning curve when putting into new role mitigated by great supportive culture. Cultural difference makes active listening important and cross culture respect critical. Multilingual is asset.
