Working in Seri MutiaraThe good thingsGiving me the change for learning about the basic hostel management and front desk management, meeting new people from other countries, getting positive feedback from international students about our accommodation that we provided, opportunity to promote Malaysian foods and good places for visiting, cooperate with local universities to support the local events.
The challengesThe hostel management still new therefore unstable, no Standard Operating Procedures has been implemented yet, student rules and regulations always changing make staff difficult to follow, insufficient manpower especially from the technical/maintenance department, basic facility such as Internet Wifi need to be upgraded because students need it to do assignment, facing rude students.
