Rapid learning curve, but dealing with a difficult boss and poor benefits makes it better to consider a similar role elsewhere with higher pay and similar work pressure

The challenges1. Poor management 2. Poor benefit 3. Managing work relationship with a challenging superior can be difficult

    Nice working environment
The good thingsA very decent working environment where all your colleagues will be willing to guide you all along the way during audit fieldwork and when doing fund reporting. A good place to gain experience as a starting point for fresh graduates.
The challengesYour schedule will be packed during peak period as it's relatively small and medium firm. Recommend to allocate people to more diverse field or different scope of audit. You may need to travel for about a range of 70%-80% and sometime maybe on a short notice period. You may need to learn to manage time wisely when doing your work like what other company expects as well.

    Just Fair
The good thingsLearn about audit, get to brush up on my skills. chance to gain exposure is provided. given big companies with good portfolio.
The challengesunreasonable and unpractical way of doing things. Sometimes, hard to reason with the superior. Hope things change for the better next time round.

    Challenging and enriching
The good thingsMany robust assignments covering various function, different industries and special audit reporting from time to time. Very interesting and ever-changing on top of the regular internal audit cycle. A lot of travelling opportunities to different states too! Good office location with public transport. Colleagues are friendly but have to buck up yourself also. Sometimes have to do overtime to meet deadline and adhoc jobs, but working hours are pretty predictable when teams are managed properly and juniors are cooperative.
The challengesThe initial learning curve is steep as the boss is quite strict. Its common in the industry that client expectation is high and need to have a lot of common sense. Quite stressful as need prepare to participate in the presentation to the top management/directors/audit committee and be accountable for your work. This is a boutique firm with a relatively small team, sometimes need to cover for co-workers who don't make it and resign without proper handover..
