Challenging and enrichingThe good thingsMany robust assignments covering various function, different industries and special audit reporting from time to time. Very interesting and ever-changing on top of the regular internal audit cycle. A lot of travelling opportunities to different states too!
Good office location with public transport. Colleagues are friendly but have to buck up yourself also. Sometimes have to do overtime to meet deadline and adhoc jobs, but working hours are pretty predictable when teams are managed properly and juniors are cooperative.
The challengesThe initial learning curve is steep as the boss is quite strict. Its common in the industry that client expectation is high and need to have a lot of common sense. Quite stressful as need prepare to participate in the presentation to the top management/directors/audit committee and be accountable for your work.
This is a boutique firm with a relatively small team, sometimes need to cover for co-workers who don't make it and resign without proper handover..
