Chinese Working Culture, overwhelm workload, expect to OT even in weekend
The good thingsSalary (IT) consider higher than average. Good if u involve in a project that collaborate with external party (because can learn the things that not in the company). Can learn business flow of an financial company. Good and a Bad things is Overload work, make you learn a lot of things in short time (may cause difficult support code also).
The challengesculture of 996 is not a joke here. Expect u to work and support after office hour (even weekend), they said this is your duty, other ppl (non IT ppl as well) can why u cannot? low recognition of work, from management and your superior. Low improvement opportunity since always use the old tech and old way(sdlc process/code design/ deployment process) of doing things (even we all know this is NOT efficient), but its work, so we SHOULD do it that way. Since always using the same things (what u do in year 1 is almost same in year 3), and 996 is not a joke here, how many time u left can use to spend on learning and improve yourself? an fresh graduate can out beat u in months

    Rapid-growing fintech company
The good thingsVery attractive remuneration package for programmers or other IT-related positions. Easy-going colleagues, fun environment, newly renovated office. Good benefits, including higher-than-average annual leaves, insurance and medical card, free food (!). Depending on department and position, office hour can be flexible.
The challengesLack of senior guidance, as most IT employees are young fresh graduates. There are not many opportunities to learn from the experience ones. Good side of this is less office drama. Office culture can sometimes be less productive as there can be miscommunication between different parties within the company itself.

    Learning ground for fresh graduate
The good thingsFriendly people in the organisation and you can expect to learn a lot of things over your employment with the company. The bosses willing to give opportunity to employee to express their idea and execute plan independently. You need to be self-motivate.
The challengesMajority of the people in the company speak Mandarin and the company structure very flat, you can only rely on few person to make decision. However, the bosses do empower the employee to do small decision too.

A great company to work for
The good thingsHave a very good team of colleagues and superiors which are selfless and willing to grow together. You will have power to voice out your ideas or opinions even if you feel that you are small potatoes in the company. A young and energitic workplace that make you feel motivated and cheerful during working hours. Colleagues are blended quite well even among different level of posts as we do not really practice hierarchical management.
The challengesYou have to be more self discipline and self management when you are working under a liberalism kind of company. This is very important for you to stay away from comfort zone. You have to take initiative to ask for more responsibility when you feel you are ready or capable to do better than current stage, of course management are willing to discuss for your initiativeness and readiness.
