    Not Recommended to Work Here
The good thingsIf you are lucky, your colleagues can be very nice.
The challengesNew management, unrealistic targets. Understaffed, overworked. High turnover, no sense of urgency in hiring. 2 person's job, 1 salary. Salary increment is way below the inflation rate. HR is well aware of staffs' displeasure based on conducted survey, but no improvement has been made so far. No work life balance.

    Very challenging environment
The good thingsStaff benefits are really very attractive! Colleagues and users also friendly.
The challengesOne man kicks for everything. Headcount for department is very limited (department size is quite small compared to other SME). Turnover rate for lead position is quite high which causing many department's direction changing time to time.

    The place to self-develop
The good thingsGood opportunities for growth if you are able to target your own path and capture it. The place to debate, and agree to disagree. Wonderful colleagues that appreciate the working relationship. Know the personality and leadership style your colleagues, and adapt.
The challengesMulti-taking is a high expectation environment, but this will grow your capabilities if you take the challenge head-on

    Sad environment
The good thingsAt least you get your salary on time.
The challengesIt's just a job, don't take it as a career. What to expect when working at IMU: 1. Becoming a robot. You're not allowed to use your brain because you're supposed to operate as how they want you to. Just follow instructions! 2. High expenditure. It's a low paying job yet they're always asking you to buy this and that, or contribute to welfares and charities. They use the word "encourage" when by fact you're forced to spend unwillingly. 3. Hear complains. Everyday you'll hear people complaining about various things, not so about job scope, more to management. Venting is some sort of entertainment in the office, peers are the only listeners. 4. Four walls. They emphasize on healthy work place but they overlooked caring of the eyes. Basically there's no where to look at to rest your eyes. Only the 4 walls. 5. No improvements. You'll learn to leave things as it is because no matter how much you bring the issue up, there will not be any actions taken. 6. A retirement home. Slow paced environment. No sense of urgency. Things are done monotonously and in one way only. Good for those who have no opinion and prefer to just let things be and be merry. Definitely not the place for you if you want your opinion to be heard.

Not really as family orientated as they claimed
The good thingsPeople here go home on time so you won't feel shy to clock out on the dot. No unnecessary pressure to stay back longer just to look good.
The challengesToo many levels of approval. Hiring process is inefficient and takes forever. People can be moody and overly sensitive, although they try to portray a "friendly face". People who have worked for a long time feels complacent, less receptive to changes, and separated into obvious gangs. They dominate the place so it'll be hard to climb the Corporate ladder unless the old timers budge. Everyone seem to be constantly talking/worrying about KPIs, instead of really enjoying what they do. (IE, they're doing it because it's part of the KPI). Lack of communication/bonding between managers and subordinates. Not sure why they consider this place to having one of the best perks. I find it pretty stingy. They clearly have not worked in other industries. If you are in need of money, this place is not for you.

    Friendly Working Environment
The good thingsThere is a series of in-house training prepared for new joiner to adapt to the working environment faster. The colleagues are very resourceful, friendly and ready to help whenever you have any doubt to your task. Work-life balance can be achieved here. Employee's benefit they offered here you cannot get in majority of the companies outside.
The challengesThe salary package they offered is low. Quite a few of the facilities need to be updated. Seems like other departments are not efficient compared to my department when there is issue. Career advancement here need to be improved.

Excellent working environment, employer that strives to improve and do better
The good thingsGood employee benefits package, annual leaves, jusco vouchers and most importantly yearly bonus and increment! A place that values feedbacks and make sure your opinions are heard. Great working environment with little office politics. Realistic and achievable KPI. Plenty of self-development opportunities.
The challengesA lot of paper work and report-writing. Staffs LOVE to mass email congratulatory emails to everyone. All departments function on their own, example: if you apply for annual leave from HR, academic services will not be notify, hence timetabler will still schedule class on the day where your leave is approved. Timetabling system is a huge pile of mess. Lectures start from as early as 8am and last lecture ends at 6pm sometimes 7pm, but there'll be days where you don't have to lecture at all.

My best working experience so far
The good thingsWork/life balance, multicultural & diverse, great work environment. Great people, work environment and energy. Really supportive, collaborative team-mates with an amazing, positive and great team leader. Good access to upper management. The people are relaxed and kind. The building is modern, clean, and has a great view. Making an effort to make positive changes and address problems.
The challengesBeing pushed out of my comfort zone, but it really made me grow both personally and professionally. Multiple projects running in parallel and you have to be on your toes to be competitive. A few immature processes, but nothing serious, and they are being addressed anyway.

    Wonderful working place
The good thingsI have never worked in such a friendly and happy environment. Colleagues here are helpful and proactive. They have the spirit to help each other in completing the tasks. And I have the best bosses! They are so open-minded with great mindset. They deserve a 5 stars rating. They listen and support their subordinates very much. Not only that, the staff enjoy many irregular benefits working here in IMU. It's just too good!
The challengesChallenges working in this company is that I have to learn and gain the knowledge about medical, including the medical equipment that they use to teach, so that we know what are the things require by the students. This is a new industry for me, but I am doing good and feel good to be here. This is the first job that makes me have the feeling of continue working here until I retire.

    Good performances
The good thingsI’m fortunate to have a pretty positive working relationship with my boss. She gives me a high degree of latitude to get on with my job while always being there to help me with any unusual or difficult situations – to lend me the benefit of her experience. Like many managers, she’s often very busy but she does a good job of closely supervising her team, steering us in the right direction and helpi
The challengesFirst, I will take a deep breath. Second, I will examine what kind of challenge I am facing. Third, I will try to balance the positive and negative aspects of it. Fourth, I will try to solve it from the gathered data.
