    Not recommended for anyone
The good thingsyou still get a minimal exposure to the chinese market, people are still helpful and gave proper guidance, but it's only a handful of them.
The challenges- SEVERELY poor management - direction of the bank is all over the place and chaotic, maintaining clear goals appears to be an ongoing challenge to them. - systems are so backwards that you question its existence - SEVERELY cost concern

As someone who’s been here for quite a few years, I’ve seen a lot of changes – more focus on transformation, digitalization, and teamwork. The pace is definitely fast and the standards are high, but that’s also why people grow quickly here. If you’re willing to put in the effort, there’s a lot you can learn and gain.
The good thingsFrom my experience as a long-time employee, the bank has been changing a lot in recent years – putting more focus on transformation, digitalization, and compliance. The pace is fast and expectations are high, but that also pushes people to grow quickly. There are plenty of chances to learn new things, and colleagues are generally supportive and professional, which makes the work environment better.
The challengesThat said, the fast pace and high standards can feel stressful for newcomers, and it sometimes takes a while to adjust. The culture values responsibility and discipline, but it would also help to encourage more open feedback and independent thinking.

Outdated Culture, Poor Governance, and Lack of Accountability
The good thingsA few colleagues were supportive and professional, which made daily work manageable. Opportunities for learning exist, but you’ll need to be proactive and self-driven.
The challengesPerformance management lacks objectivity, and decisions often appear driven by favouritism rather than results or merit. Promises made by management may be reversed without explanation. Governance is weak, compliance is deprioritised, and leadership lacks transparency and accountability. The culture feels outdated, with little appreciation for independent thinking or constructive feedback.

Friendly environment, good training ground for career advancement.
The good thingsEasily to communicate with all Head of Department as well as the Senior Management. The bank provide strong network in term of communicate with sister companies and strong leadership & governance from the parent company.
The challengesTo fulfill the expectation from the parent company. Lack of flexibility in term of goal setting and KPI setting. Due to headcount constraint, a person might need to take charge of multiple roles and responsibilities but good for learning experience.
