    The challengesThe most stressful part of working at the company would be the difficulty in finding parking, especially during peak hours.

    Overall, I enjoy working here and its a very good place for me to learn to grow.
    The good thingsWorking as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the Anatomical Pathology department has provided solid exposure to histopathology workflows, including specimen handling, processing, sectioning, and staining. The environment supports technical skill development, particularly in maintaining quality and turnaround time under routine workload demands.
    The challengesI would say the challenges is just from the number of samples and the fast pace environment; but it is also what makes me enjoy working here because i get to learn new things everyday.

    The good thingsThe doctor is kind. Average salary. Many learning possibilities. Some senior staffs are kind and helpful.
    The challengesExpecting the newbies to be perfect and know it all in 2-3 week. Probably good for the in-one-day-fast learner. Not to mention the workloads, the workloads from the night shift will be brought to the morning shift, hence hindering the morning workloads. Some senior staffs are rude/ undervaluing like to down grade you if you don't have a degree or don't do well like they did, like to gossip. Payroll often late, u need to ask frequently for your own supposedly-get-on-date salary.

    After the merging with Quantum and Clinipath lab, the workload also increased.
    The good thingsA good start but not for a long term. a very fast paced working environment and in HQ you can learn but only stick in one department.
    The challengesPoor work life balance as you work in long shifts, terrible management, LOW INCREMENT even after 2 years working, low salary, very very high workload especially in HQ, high turnover rate, always short of staffs.

    The good thingsProbably understanding collegues because eberyone suffer here except high rank position.
    The challengesvery old school approach , too much politics, not healthy to work here, higher management not proper when it comes to decision making. Higher turnover rates always, salary low. Joined because its leading lab in Malaysia but turns no. Management play silent competition among them.

    The challengesBefore onboard, everything was sugar coated. After on board, nothing turn good - change of working hours, decrease on benefits. No respect between co-workers, no empathy on new joiner, expected new joiner to fly high on day 1, without any guidance.

    The challengesPoor management and matters require decisions are handled at a snail pace. Poor camaraderie between management staff and other staff. Management practices old school approach. Poor increment and bonus.

    The good thingsShift work is a good way to adopt work life balance. Able to multitask and work with maximum speed as HQ runs huge amount of patient samples on a daily basis.

    The challengesCompany is old style with traditional way of doing things. Management will only pay attention to clients and not listening to staffs first in case of discrepancies. The boss underappreciate technical / support staffs.

    The good thingsIts a huge lab, they receive samples from all over Malaysia and they run almost all the diagnostic tests, there was so much to learn. Most of the lab staffs were friendly and helpful. Many of them were willing to teach us (the interns), and some even let us have hands on experience which was great! The HoDs were nice as well, overall my internship was pleasant.
    The challengesAs an intern I didn't get paid. I observed that most of the staffs had heavy workloads, they often worked till late. Salary wise, I heard its below average. The jobs are also shift based in 4 out of 5 departments so its quite a challenge if you're someone who prefers a 9 to 5 job.

    The challengesBeing MSQH and ISO Accredited, there are many proper documentation to be done, all procedure are tightly regulated in SOP. However, I took it positively and made it a learning step to further upgrade myself in the near future.

    The good thingsSome staffs were pretty helpful towards the learning process of the students. New techniques and skills were thought and also some improved compared to previous learning from the one thought in university.
    The challengesstudents were not allowed to do much of hands-on job as this has restricted us from gaining much knowledge. some staffs kept to themselves and did not offer much of their knowledge to the students. Thus, this has caused students sitting and watching them all day long.
