Supportive internship experience with friendly team and strong learning environment.
The good thingsI did my internship at IOI Acidchem, and it was a great first company experience. The staff were very friendly, approachable, and always ready to guide me. The environment was supportive, and I learned a lot from hands-on tasks and real-world IT support situations.
The challengesAs an intern with no prior company experience, the initial learning curve was challenging. Adapting to professional workflows and troubleshooting tasks under pressure required time, but it ultimately helped me grow both personally and technically.

Review as Internal Audit Executive for 3 Months Working
The good things- HOD is kind, experienced and knowledgeable in industries and very concern on health and mental issues. - Medical benefits and salary is good. - Learn new things and knowledge in oleochemical industry. - Flexi working hours.
The challenges- High expectation and tight deadline. - Lack of support from assistant manager and not friendly (different people may have different thought). - Remember the words 'you give troublesome to us' from assistant manager after working for 1 month due to unable to complete task as expected.

Great place to work for certain people.
The good thingsA very strong company. Very good business. Factory never shut down. You can work here untill you retire.
The challengesPeople are so friendly but not so helpful and no teamwork..some are so talkative and smart talk. They can teach you right, but not to help you. The truth is many employees are lazy..sleeping in the office are their routine, let all the new employess does the hard work. A forklift driver is the toughest job, the worst part is, they have to take responsible if anything bad happen and they don't even have a license given. Very minimal benefits and no life balance. 1 day off per week.

Old style and slow career growth company
The good thingsMinimal stress working environment and helpful colleagues which can share their knowledge to you.Good place to learn as a fresh grad. This a stable company which you can work until you pension. Regular working hour and no OT require in this company. You can go back on time everyday. High bonus compare to other company and absolute work life balance in this company.
The challengesMinimal employee benefit and too many restriction. Lack of training given to employee to improve their knowledge yet asking them to keep doing improvement project. No team building section in the company. Minimal reward is given to those who perform well or success to execute improvement projects. Slow career growth and not challenging working environment. Salary is relatively low compare to other competitive. Not lively working environment as minimal interaction activities between employees are organized. Old style management which different from what youngster desire.

    Senior Plant Engineer

3 to 4 years in the role, former employee
A great place for learning but not earning
The good thingsA great place for learning and picking up hands-on experience. As a plant engineer, one does not only involved in handling daily process plant operation, but will also be exposed to continuous plant improvement, implementation of ISO and several other international standards (OHSAS, GMP, etc). A plant engineer also does the planning and execution of the annual shutdown for DOSH inspection.
The challengesTechnically, this is a great place to learn and gain hands-on experiences. One could also develop soft skills as the job requires inter-departmental liaison to ensure smooth operation of the plant. However, the pay is relatively low which in this realistic world, it wouldn't be sufficient to be solely happy and truly enjoying the job.
