Some managers/directors in Jabil IT are absolutely fantastic, they build and train their teams with a passion, providing growing opportunities where suitable. Although some still require improvement, but overall, pretty decent.
Jabil is a great place to build your career. Many learning opportunities and projects to participate in. They are big on training, so you will have no end to learning new things.
The challengesBeing with a company for so many years, the compensation package diminishes over time. As our skillsets and workload increase exponentially, our base salary do not grow as fast. One can easily get better base salary increment outside of Jabil with the increased of skillsets obtained.
Up to a certain level, there will be a phase where positions are stagnant. They had the history of keeping retired folks as sr. directors on contract, blocking internal advancements. This is changing slowly, but the effect is being felt. Problem also with promoting some managers based on years of seniority, rather than capability, these managers show insecurities and morale of the team takes the hit.
