    Regional design engineer

Shah Alam SelangorLess than 1 year in the role, former employee
Do not waste your time applying for this role regional design engineer(electrical & automation) under MHE.
The good thingsThe company working environment are nice. Colleagues from other departments are friendly. Kinda flexible working hour. 2 days work from home per week. Free parking space.
The challenges-Overwork you and set unrealistic expectations. -A lot of heavy workloads expected to done in-house when the regional team has no capacity and capability. In another words, overcommitted superior. -Unclear direction from superior. Always change direction and story. Initially tells you to sub out the workload, next week tells you to do in-house expected to be done by you. -Not clearly defined job description. Title is regional design engineer but in actual fact you are serving extra as project engineer+software engineer+support as well. Executing new projects while supporting existing projects. -Very small team. 1 to 2 engineer. Maybe 0 now. -Superior has no transparency. Outright lie to your face when you already know the truth behind. -Cover a lot of overseas projects. -Manipulative superior. Avoid direct answers. Give vague instructions. Change expectations without warning. -Not so friendly regional colleagues from Australia team. Outright blind side you over and over again.
