Emotional manager with poor communication in a toxic environment & political cultureThe good thingsA place that can train people to become superman & encourages hard work, ask a staff may work until 1.00 am in their last day.
The challengesFails to prioritize, often assigning non-critical tasks over urgent reporting deadlines. Communication is indirect, as the manager said that as a manager can't speak directly with intern. Feedback is not provided in a timely manner, yet last minute changes are made after client pressure, followed by blaming juniors for errors. Juniors are required to call clients or senior during late hours (8.30pm - 9.30pm), while conflicts between junior & senior are not properly resolved. Instruction are often unclear, even after long discussions (30min - 1h) & simple matters are explained in a complicated way. Due to limited knowledge, the manager is unable to provide solutions & instead respond by saying she is busy. After resignation, staff are repeatedly contacted regarding handover issues. A junior was blamed for a faulty office phone on the intern's desk, which was not the junior's responsibility.
