The good thingsThe good things of working here is that you will have a stress-free work: No traffic, necessary amount of work load & friendly superior. The students are polite and eager to learn. The colleagues are very helpful for new staff, they will teach you A-Z.
The challengesSo far, no challenges that I could not handle since everyone will help/guide you.

The good thingsthe lecturers' teaching hours are moderate, only high working loads sometimes. quite flexible in terms of timing for lunch and going out in between working hours but the annoying part is that the lecturers are required to work during semester break and basically come to work and do nothing, waste time because there are no classes. kbu offers annual dinners, CNY lunch and happy hour to unwind.
The challengesThey should remove the clock in & out method to monitor the lecturers. No salary scale. Mostly staff's pay are decided based on skin color & up to the boss. Annual leave is very limited, other universities are offering up to 25 days on the first year. Medical benefits are very limited and they question you if your bill is high at the clinic. No other great benefits that encourage staffs to stay.

Great place with passionate leadership and potential for personal growth
The good thingsThis institution believes in education, and keeps a good track record of faithfully delivering what would be the best to staff and customers (in this cases, college students).
The challengesThe institution was run in a very traditional way for more than 2 decades. It will take a little while to see the changes attempted by the new senior management.

The good thingsI made good friends with the fellow lecturers here. Real cooperative and supportive. Strategic location.
The challengesThe management was awful. biased. could not be bothered about staff welfare. too much politics, constant argument in the staff room. the HOD should have been replaced, instead they chose to keep her. Biggest mistake ever. Facilities were poor, labs under equipped, library under equipped. its unfair to the students who studied there. i will not recommend anyone to work/study in KBU.

Good start but stressful working environment
The good thingsNice and friendly colleagues.
The challengesmost of the members from the management team are new to the industry. Did not accept new ideas and I was Overloaded with 3 person's workload while meeting deadlines as well.
