Management need to improviseThe good thingsColleagues are cool to work with which includes diversity among different races. As a blue-collar staff, there is not much career advancement in this location you can get. Parking is free so you can save a bit of money. The location is in a warehouse combined with an office in the same building.
The challengesI've been working in the Purchasing Department at the HQ as an associate roughly for 2 weeks. What I can share with my experience is the seniors are not really good at giving instructions to the staff. In other terms, too many chiefs not many Indians where you typically do ad-hoc tasks from several departments and people as well. Also, purchasing department supervisors keep micromanaging your job the whole time so for me, I felt uneasy to do my job smoothly as I prefer to work remotely. The challenge was the grass is not always greener on the other side because keep in mind purchasing department in this company practices a centralization work style needless to say every procurement or equipment must obtain consent from the higher-ups in HQ. One last thing you are required to work alternate Sat (half-day) which I find it to be not practical as it is unnecessary unless you are in the operation department. In a nutshell, I do not recommend working in this location but you can give it a try tho.
