    The good thingsA good start for fresh graduates, as LONGi offers a fast-paced, high-pressure working environment that requires critical thinking and quick decision-making in production. The role also enhances negotiation and collaboration skills by working closely with engineers across different departments.
    The challengesAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you ensure 24/7 production and manage manpower while addressing issues across all 4M factors. The role can be seen as ‘unlikable’ because it pushes for results across departments, and managing human factors is often the most challenging part. Despite this, it is a critical role for maintaining smooth and sustainable operations.

    Experience at Longi i ever had was never i get on the other place before.All 80% of life will be mean for practicing mechanical skill,manufacturing skill,quality handling skill,safety skill.To be born as a productive person and willing to learn new lesson for working purpose eventhough I was a 1st batcht and senior employee at LONGi Sarawak.
    The good thingsBack then.Before 2024 and retranchment issue.This company had few allowence for salary enhancement.Few allowence is attendant allowence,incentive allowence and every 1.5hours after 8hours working is OT.It's called monthly 1.5x OT.for 4-2,4,2 shift pattern.
    The challengesI had experiencing so many challanges and so many difficulties on my working experience at there.I was experiencing a lot of process and plant changing due to transfering from other plant to the other specific plant for job purpose.

    Good for fresh graduate to gain experience but you wont want to stay here long.
    The good thingsCompany give a good package of compensation, including car allowance, food allowance, 13-month bonus and incentive depends on quarterly sales. Colleagues are friendly (except a few department that is hard to deal with).
    The challengesHQ side management did not work closely with local management, which cause we unable to follow the latest requirement and always do things last minute. Manager is hard to deal with as they are very stubborn which always scold before they try to understand the situation. User side did not follow the SOP, which cause everything delay and they will keep pushing even it is impossible to do it.

    U will have the feeling to resign but at the same time u got no other job. So in the meantime, find another job. Act like this company is ur “side income”. Dont expect much.
    The good things-Free food -Lots of friends -Peaceful night shift -Easy to apply job here, even if u got a degree in flower designing u can become engineer too.
    The challenges-Bad management -Hard to climb up if u cannot “kipas bos” -Toxic culture (blame operator than to find solution) -Extremely hard to take leave/vacation, too many question being asked why need leave, probably more question than inspector in a case. -Yeah good salary but they got thousands of ways to deduct it -Engineers always talk, talk, talk but dont know how to do job. I think operator much more smarter than engineer.

    What I feel about this company.
    The good thingsGood colleagues, not so bad salary, environment so so. Good for fresh graduate to gain experience.
    The challengesStressful because of very bad management. Expect high output but provide less manpower + working 12 hours for 4 days. You will become very tired mentally and physically.
