Good facility, healthy environment and strategic location
The good things-Huge engineering university - great facilities such as stadium, laboratories, libraries, etc - Have large area with nice environment - close to Singapore and surrounded by large cities for great activities - Close relationship with industries where students have great chances for industrial exposure - Have good rank in the world - Developed many products and services for the society.
The challengesMaintaining UTM's good performance is the biggest challenge where staff required to achieve large numbers of KPIs. With great facilities, staff need to fully utilised them in order to realise UTM's vision and mission. Large amount of grants given by industries and government agencies require staff to commit and contribute more effort into it.
