    No reward or staff appreciation
The good thingsWork life balance. Many allowances and medical benefit provided. Provide opportunity to learn and explore new skill & knowledge as you will be working with many other government agencies.
The challengesNo increment, bonuses and promotion for staff even the KPI is achieved. Too many hassle within top management. No career development since no promotion offer. High staff turn over, but the top management decided to freeze new intake, thus many workloads to handle...

The good thingsGood learning and development platform. Great environment to work with and with flexible working hours. Clear with the vision and mission as government agency and great senior management. Flexible rules but still under control. Overall this is a great place to work!
The challengesOnce you're in, you will get into your comfort zone and sometimes hardly to has career progression. Sometimes job scopes are too wide and you might be misleading from the main mission as government agency.

    Great Benefit
The good thingsThis is one of the companies that provides great benefits in terms of EPF contributions and medical insurance coverage. Depends on department, we can have a work-life balance here,
The challengesChallenging part would be the cost of living to work here including parkings, lunch meals etc. To drive here can be abit stresful but you can always take the KLCC or Ampang Park LRT.

    Corporate and Government
The good thingsJoined in as one of the pioneer and youngest VP in 2006. The company has come far since then improving itself in many ways from being too government beauracratic like back then to more savvy in corporate ways now.
The challengesThe be more self sufficient and ran its services by ratings and rankings so that the staff are more competitive in delivering their services

The good thingsFlexible working hours. Easy access to management. Good place to learn. Good place to network.
The challengesOpportunity to grow is limited. Slow processes. Limited resources at times. Too many restructuring.

    Struggling to Remain Relevant
The good thingsIf you are in a leadership position, you are given a lot of free hand to 'run things' the way you like. Company attracts a lot of 'industry guys' from all 3 verticals - agri, industrial and healthcare - so for generalists its a great place to learn the sector.
The challengesCompany has 'lost its way'. Struggling to remain relevant. Impact on biotech sector is arguable. Much of the early issues plaguing sector remains. Needs a strategy rethink to find its place again to make a positive contribution to development of sector.

Challenges on knowing your new boss and department.
The good thingsMy employer treat me very well even i don't have any experience on this industry and the learning process was very good because of other staff willingly to help me when i have any question or thing that i don't understand. They treat me such as a family and i really love my job now.
The challengesAt first i feel a bit nervous because a lot of staff describe my boss is fierce person. It takes about 4 to 5 months for me to compatible with my boss or even other way. Other staff looks really busy on their task and i need to take a long time to ask whether they can help me or not but now it doesn't looks really a problem because my department actually had a very commitment staff.

A unique experience in a unique company
The good thingsAs an organisation tasked with developing nation's biotechnology industry, the company does its best in creating an environment to harness the power of knowledge from among its vast multi-disciplinary highly qualified personnel in order to achieve its objective. The working environment here offers one of a kind unique experience for all level.
The challengesUnique set up of this organisation i.e. quasi-professional government agency, the handling of bureaucratic matters both with local and foreign governments and stakeholders could be challenging at times. However, the company has in place proactive SOPs to manage these challenges.

    Satisfaction in work
The good thingsOK salary, good environment, can get satisfaction from job, comfortable work space, good career growth, located close to public transport, provide good benefits including parking, nice people all around, good leaders who have high expectation from everyone.
The challengesSalary can get better, High Workload, Low work-life balance, high density building means longer time to wait for lifts etc, few eateries place, too stressful if you can't manage it, perks can be better, medical is so-so
