Based on my experience, prefer not to working here.
The good thingsNo good thing at all Challenging Work Environment with Management Issues
The challengesEmployees are frequently assigned tasks outside their department without clear role boundaries. Management direction is often unclear, and project requirements change frequently, affecting productivity and planning. Communication and decision consistency could be improved. Outstation allowance is relatively low compared to market standards (RM80/night per person or RM120/night for 2–3 persons).

I can only summarize my experience as transformative, as i believe i gained a lot of hands on knowledge and skills of various engineering discipline, something that has always been lacking in my academic studies
The good thingsWhat i loved the most is the company's atmosphere. I almost never felt like i was working tirelessly as my colleagues and seniors were always there to mentor and support me from the get to the end of a project. Along with that i also gained insightful experience of solar panels and solar energy systems as well as 3d modelling softwares such as HelioScope and AutoCAD.
The challengesLearning to use the softwares was a challenge as i had not done something of that sort before.

The good thingsInterning at Maqo Solar has been transformative. The supportive team, commitment to professional growth, and inclusive culture provided an ideal learning environment. I acquired valuable skills and insights that will undoubtedly shape my future career. I am grateful for this enriching opportunity at Maqo Solar.
The challengesWorking in a solar company like Maqo Solar may present challenges such as navigating the dynamic landscape of renewable energy policies and regulations, addressing technical complexities in solar technology, ensuring efficient supply chain management for solar components, and adapting to market fluctuations and competition in the renewable energy sector.

    Very good internship experience
The good thingsYou can learn a lot of things during the internship. For me, I am exposed to sales and IT-related job scope. I do learn a lot of things from the director, Mr. KK. Besides, the company does provide job training, so no worries when you are new. The staff are very helpful and willing to teach new employees or interns.
The challengesYou will get exposed to different fields, so you need to make sure that you are ready for the job scope.

    No direction & Bad management
The good thingsAble to learn alot of things as you need to do alot of task outside of your jobscope due to lack of man power. Salary and claims are on time.
The challengesThere's no structure and lack of SOP of the works that is need to be done. Leads given is not that potential , high expectations from management, hire alot of interns to do full time employee jobs. Pricing in solar industry is too competitive and sometimes we couldnt compete with other competitor. No replacement leave for working on weekends.

    Good place for internship
The good thingsMost of the staff are friendly. As an intern, they try their best to educate you. Really show you real life situations on how a solar company works and functions. Also, the working hours is flexible. As long as you get the job done.
The challengesAs much as there are good and friendly staff. Some of them (very few) are totally stuck up, unprofessional, disrespectful, people. So, watch out for those people. Non of those are from management, fortunately. Just some small people acting big.

Good learning experience to enter professional environment.
The good thingsMaqo Solar provides an excellent starting opportunity to learn about PV installation services, designing and how sales are conducted between clients and the company. You'll be able to learn some knowledge that can equip you better for future career development, and particularly about PV installation engineering.
The challengesMay need to know how to balance the workload and need to learn how to multitask, although this is something more on getting used to.

You are able to learn a lot
The good thingsThroughout my internship in Maqo, I am able to learn something outside my field of study (finance) such as sales, marketing, design, and so on. And this experience definitely equip me for a better career development in the future. Thus if you are someone looking to learn a lot of new skills during your internship, believe me, Maqo is the best and only choice for you.
The challengesYou may have to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
