    Internship experience
The good thingsThe opportunity to work closely with an experienced HR team was hugely beneficial. I appreciated the guidance and mentorship provided by the HR team, as they allowed me to gain practical knowledge and insights into the field of human resources.
The challengesI would recommend organizing regular check-in meetings or workshops to address any questions, concerns, or challenges that interns may encounter during their time at Markaids. By improving the overall aspect of the internship program, interns would have a more enriching and productive experience, enabling them to learn and contribute more effectively to the company.

Not all company has the team spirit like here!
The good thingsTeamwork, great remuneration, and friendly employer. I had a smash time with team Markaids. Their team spirit is a big deal for them in order to achieve their target on what they want. Being there, employer is always a good mentor for all. A fast pace company and high expectations on your career growth.
The challengesIt is a fast pace company so many research needed to be done beforehand. But it was a learning process for all of us. Employer is rather particular with all details to bring forward but like I mentioned, it is a learning process.

The challengesChallenges when we needed to get approval from management. A lot of procedures but however, that it the SOP we need to follow.

    Part-time Experience as Innovation Trainee
The good thingsColleagues and supervisors were great and friendly. A good place to start for career development. I learned a lot as an innovation (R&D) trainee during my semester break and was given a lot of opportunities in handling different projects.
The challengesThe main challenges I faced were to able to be innovative enough to come out with new ideas and the trial and errors faced during new product launching.

Superior is micromanaging. Bad management with minimum benefits provided.
The good thingsColleagues are nice and friendly. Everything is fine except management.
The challengesBetter management with improved staff benefits. Stop micromanaging your staff.

HR and Management1. We are sorry that our management style was not a good fit for you, and we thank you for the feedback and your time with us. We will bring this up to discuss with our current team to strategize ways to make it as beneficial as possible for both management and employees. However, we are glad to know that you were able to foster a healthy relationship with your team and colleagues, as we always encourage teamwork and good support amongst all staff members in the company. 2. We would also like to take this opportunity to address your dissatisfaction towards the lack of benefits by the company. We are a medium-sized, independent family business and while our benefits might not match those provided by some of the most generous MNCs/GLCs, we are trying the best that we can to provide and consistently improve our staff benefit programs. For instance: - dental claims and annually sponsored flu vaccinations for all staff and their families - contractual and performance-based bonuses for all staff, plus additional long-term bonuses for key performers - medical coverage and hospitalisation insurance, which extends to family for senior positions And recent updates to: - marriage, examination and paternity leave - health and fitness allowance - education subsidies for all staff member's school-going children 3. Having said that, there is always room for improvement and we are constantly reviewing where and how we can do better for our customers and employees. Open and honest feedback will help us do that, and we appreciate your time and contributions. All the best for your future endeavors.
