Enjoyable work experience despite being in a sunset industryThe good thingsThe camaraderie between staff is excellent; after-office activities are plentiful (sports, events) and plenty of travelling opportunities. Also, ample opportunities to learn and relearn new skills and knowledge across different media platforms and the satisfaction of a job well done is simply priceless.
The challengesThe traditional media industry's business model of purely relying on advertising revenue is crumbling and the top management seems to be caught off-guard with this new reality, scrambling with one new turnaround plan after another, with no real tangible benefit thus far. This has resulted in some haphazard and sometimes costly ventures that affected the staff morale and their willingness to push beyond that which is required. Despite the dire need for change, it has remained status quo in here for far too long.
