MNC benefits with local SME culture.
The good thingsThis company have meal subsidy, ample parking, great benefits, childcare option, and a two-month annual bonus. Working hours are from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
The challengesMeeting-heavy culture, poor work-life balance, leaders deflecting criticism about this issue. The 2-month bonus is actually a 13th-month salary, plus 30 extra minutes of daily work. Manpower shortage from 2023 layoffs, “I will just hire new grads if you leave” attitude.

    Overall average company.
The good thingsFlexible working hours. Have buddy system.
The challengesContract workers are not treated equally as permanent staff. The permanent staff always push their tasks to contract employee. They have their own grouping, as specially the TA side. Work procedures not briefed properly and they expect you to know on your own. Sometimes need to work late night. If you got permanent role than can give a try. Depends on which department as well.

My experience at the company has been both rewarding and growth-oriented, with a supportive, flexible work environment that fosters continuous learning and teamwork, despite occasional challenges in managing a fast-paced workload.
The good thingsAt my current company, I truly appreciate the flexible hours, which allow me to balance work with personal life more easily. The work environment is positive and collaborative, fostering a sense of camaraderie among colleagues who are not only friendly but also always willing to support each other. Additionally, the company offers excellent learning opportunities, encouraging professional development through training, workshops, and access to resources that help me grow in my role. It's a place that values both well-being and continuous learning, making it a great fit for personal and career growth.
The challengesOne of the challenges at my current company is managing the fast-paced workload, which can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially during peak periods. While the flexibility in hours helps, balancing multiple high-priority tasks can still be difficult. Additionally, as the company grows, there are occasional communication gaps between teams, which can lead to delays or misunderstandings. Despite these challenges, there’s a strong emphasis on finding solutions collaboratively, and with the supportive team environment, we’re always able to navigate through them effectively.

9 months that ruin my career path.
The good thingsThere's nothing to be good.
The challengesNo work life balance. Expected to work 24/7 even on Sat & Sun. Every quarter always been hectic and chaos. "Urgent" word has been normalized in this company and most of Managers and Superiors micro-manage the staff. Conclusion is this place is not a healthy workplace.

Working at MICRON was an overwhelmingly stressful experience due to excessive workload, unrealistic deadlines, and lack of support, which led to burnout and severely impacted my work-life balance.
The good thingsone of the most stressful experiences of my career. The constant pressure to meet unrealistic deadlines, combined with a lack of resources and support, created a highly stressful and overwhelming environment.
The challengesThe workload was excessive, with long hours becoming the norm, often without proper recognition or compensation. The fast-paced demands led to burnout, and the expectation to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance took a toll on both my mental and physical well-being. This environment, while teaching me to be resilient, was ultimately unsustainable and negatively impacted my work-life balance.

Great benefits but lower basic salary. Great place for retirement.
The good thingsCompany provide good benefits such as transportation and toll allowance. Currently they provide better package for dental benefits as well. The company will also provide stock but require to stay in the company for few years only able to claim it.
The challengesCompany don't allow remote work even though the job can be done without exist in the company office. Don't expect good salary increment because management won't care about you at all. Basic salary is low compared to other MNC as well.

Great benefit and remuneration package with a challenging working environment
The good thingsExcellent employee benefit and very competitive salary package. Site milestone celebration in house and outdoor is fun.
The challengesJob priority and focus changes at super speed frequently and too many meeting hindering actual job to be done within normal working hours. Work expectation is to complete more task with less people after layoff was done in Feb 2023 which demoralized the whole team. No clear plan for workforce retention even question asked in townhall.

    Worst management & untrustable management
The good thingsGood things: If you are smart in the way of talking but not real working, you can join this company. Salary overall is higher a bit than other company. If you feel you can think a lot of CAPA, you can join the company. If you feel you can do handle a lot of meeting, you are suitable to join. If you feel unstressful to handle the management that keep pressure you but not guide you. If you fullfill all the item above. You can try this company.
The challengesNo training provided, Manager will ask you to read the document yourself. Before I join, they promise me that we will provide training for you all, but in the end, they lost the promise. They ask me to self learn from vendor and senior technician/ Engineer.

The good thingsGood things is they gives shares, but their shares price fluctuations (not stable).

US company but practiced subcon culture and work structure
The good thingsPay and benefit are on par in semiconductor industry
The challengesManagement mostly are from subcon so the work structure here is very subcon oriented. Doesn’t follow the work flow urgency, leaders are blindly follow the director direction even doesn’t feel doing the right thing. Work life here are even worst than local/china company.
