    Research life in mmu
The good thingsWork life is relax. You are given freedom to conduct your own research.
The challengesNeed to be self discripline in doing research. Not much sponsorship for publications. Research fund or scholarships could be interrupted. Therefore, need to be very independent and strength to overcome above issues.

Good but you yourself need to be out of your comfort zone
The good thingsGood working environment as in university campus. Can meet up with new people and students/foreigner and MMU always having various of events, which is not just focusing on academics.
The challengesSome working colleague still need to be spoon-fed and being in their own comfort zone, not all but some. Since now everything we need to be in the fast pace, changing and be better and innovative in everything. This is somehow a challenge for me to deal with people with this kind of attitude.

A university that has lost its goal
The good thingsGreat working environment with great colleagues and good facilities though old ones. Has great programmes and gives much liberties to its staff
The challengesThough a university, it went off its goal of concentrating on its customers : students ! As a lecturer you’ll be ask to concentrate on research at the expense of not caring for students anymore, even canceling classes.

    Research work
The good thingsgreat environment for the research activities. unlimited freedom to work at any time without any restrictions. nice colleagues and great support from the management without interfering the research activities . the well established library gave ample of space and opportunity for doing research work.
The challengesneed to cope up with the International cultural difference. the research output demand very quality and productive from the candidates. need to stick up with the time limit. for every 6 months there is review about the progress. hence candidates should be very careful about their progress and research directions.

    Great facilities
The good thingsI was attached with the Research Department in FOE and I appreciate the facilities that were made available towards researchers. The environment was fairly good and conducive for research purposes. My colleagues in the lab was all very friendly even though we were not on the same team or research program. Work and life balance was good too as there were no strict schedule to follow, as long as you are on par with your research timeline then all should be well.
The challengesThe management should pick up the pace in their work process, eliminate unnecessary steps that can be redundant. More parking lots would be better as these are quite limited.

The good thingsThe working environment is so nice and comfortable. The co-worker also very friendly and happy go lucky. We take care of each other. The job scope is challenging and competitive as well. It requires a lot of hard work and focus and offers many new experiences as well. A thumb up!
The challengesWe need to finish the job with in time given and the client are able to request for a change frequently. Need to sit down to explain to them what do and don't s in developing the system

On my job training, the task that I was given more related to administrative jobs. Working more on Microsoft Word and Excel are not something new for me. Eg: Updating data student in system. Besides that Scanning photocopying and printing are common jobs
The good thingsLearn many things in one time and it could enhance my skills from time to time.
The challengesThe number of staff working there are not enough.

IMMERSITY WITH THE HEART OF BORNEO
The good thingsI gained tremendous experience where you are surrounded by nature and the wild animals, a part from that, you also meet different people from all over the country. Experience personally the beauty of the eco-system that existed millions years ago and to know how important the forest to humankind. Besides of that, learning the biological life of Orang-Utan in the wild life is an eye-opener for everyone, we become voice for them as human beings destroy their home which we make it as ours.
The challengesThe geographically challenges my physical stamina because of the hilly places. We cannot avoid from the bugs keep disturbing us. High sensitivity in observing Orang-Utan to get the data accurately and synchronize with the timing as well. Working in the deep and thick forest has highly risk our life, awereness and self-discipline are highly required in order to keep me survive from any danger.
