Overall I would say if you know your career path, it is a good place to sharpen your skillset. Do not come here if mindset is expecting to just get a job to just get salary. If it is that way, would think better if you go for corporate companies where your job scope is fixed to what you applied for. For a small company doing more than what you are supposed to is a given, and if you fulfil it properly then I believe you can demand for more since you are providing equal value.The good thingsCareer growth - you can discuss with management during appraisals on whether you want to branch out to other things
Good colleagues (when possible) - most of the time the colleagues are pretty good to work with
The challenges1. Turnover - colleagues constant changing as many cannot adapt to fast changing decisions since F&B companies are like that, and some cannot agree with the environment or management, or just cannot perform
2. Don't expect to be spoon fed - things need to be explored and picked up yourself
3. Last minute decision making - F&B is a very fast pace industry since we need to match trends asap, so this is to be expected
