The good thingsSpacious workspace and located at strategic location inside Mardi Complex. Lab also equip with high value instrumental.
The challengesThere's no benefits here, no increments and bonuses. The company also need to review everyone salary since there's a huge gap between permenant and contact staff, even the workload is same. Career development for everyone also need to be review since some of senior's been at same grade for more than 10 years.

NIBM is a good company equipped with high end instrumentation. Good for those who wants challenge in their job because a lot of opportunities to learn here.
The good thingsNIBM encourage application-type of research with industrial linkages. Not so academic like Universities. Normally will get involve in project that in line with National needs.
The challengesNIBM should have better planning for staff career development and strategy to maintain staff especially the loyal and skillful staff. Need to plan and have good strategy for company sustainability.

The good thingsworking environment is good and pleasing, staff were given spacious office and partition. High end laboratory equipment for R&D. colleagues were friendly. you will get chance to discover and learn how actual R&D work were done
The challengessince the company was newly integrated from a government institution into cooperate, generating revenue is a must you have to work extra and extra hard to produce your department's products. The bureaucracy has to be resolved. salary for contract staff should be reevaluate due to a very big gap between permanent staff, which is around 60%, and the workload between them is the same. favoritism has eliminated completely as for all staff have the same chance of career development and not just focusing on specific persons. Less paper would be great as we are going towards greener earth as there is no digital medium provided

    Great facilities and stressful
The good thingsGreat research facilities Great working space and privacy Huge parking place Gym available
The challengesThis company has just embarked into privatization and the challenges are more towards adapting to this change. A lot of blurry lines between career expansion and retaining job. The company is still facing a number of challenges in terms of moving forward as most the employees are yet to catch up with the change.

Had learned so many laboratory procedures
The good thingsThe company really had a great and friendly environment. The efficiency of the company itself and the training provided was really helpful for me as a new comer. There were so many experience to be learned and obtained including inside the laboratory and joining the events conducted outside the company. The facilities provided functions well and very clean.
The challengesThere is nothing i dislike about the company. The only things is that, the cafeteria there were not under operation anymore. Therefore, the employees need to went out for lunch. It is not a big problem since there were other cafeteria and restaurant located nearby the company and can be easily reached.
