Good place to work if your salary already high
The good things1. Very good benefits especially if family oriented 2. Relaxed working environment unless you are in operations 3. Large and mature organisation with proper policies and processes already in place 4. Decent bonus payout if your performance is good
The challenges1. Very very low salary range unless you are an external intake 2. Career growth very slow or non-existent unless you stay for more than 10 years 3. Typical Malay/GLC working mindset which will bother someone who crave for fast pace

The good thingsExperiencing a lot especially related to Industrial Relations tasks. Employees will teach and let you in charge when you already good at the tasks.

Great place to obtain knowledge in heavy industries
The good thingsEveryday you will need to learn new thing since there are a lot of thing that can be learn. You will need to know all sets of engineering knowledge from electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering knowledge. Sometimes you will also need to know about chemical since you are working with all of those things. Relationship between all staffs is really good since all the staffs have a lot of experience and work together in this field.
The challengesNeed to maintain old machine since the machine price is really high. The old part of the machine is the hardest thing to manage since mostly the old part is obsolete from outside market. We need to do modification on the machine to ensure the machine always ready for operation.

    Gain knowlege
The good thingsAssist the staff in scheduling monthly financial report.Able to interact with people easily.I also gain in-depth exposure and experience in the work situation in this industry. This training include workshop management, time control and of course the work progress.
The challengesI would like to suggest for Human Resource or Training Department to provide a meeting with students weekly or monthly to ensure the welfare of the students are not ignored. It is important for ensuring the health, welfare and fitness of students in the company. In fact, a lot of new information can be obtained by the students exchange their knowledge with the students in other department. This will ensure the students know deeply about the work at the company. Lastly, companies that involved in this industry need to make more promotions at higher education institutions so that students know more about the existence of this industry. This will open up opportunities for more students to undergo training in the industry and will work in the port and logistics sector.
