Military bootcamp for fresh graphic designers
The good thingsYou can experience the pinnacle of fast paced environment here, for me it was almost like entering a military bootcamp, definitely good place to toughen up your work mentality and skills as a fresh graphic designer. You can survive everywhere else after here.
The challengesBasic salary is high but they will make sure to squeeze every last drop of effort out of you. Do not to stay long if you are not dedicating the whole of your career path to corporate book design, design skills learned here are too niche for other markets out there.

    You choose your own path
The good thingsWork Hard Play Hard could be the philosophy of this company! You will be enjoyed if you looking for good colleagues and you could get support and advise if you faced any difficulties in your projects - bear in mind you need to be humble to learn. Good for fresh grads if you love to have better salary compared to your peers. Be conscious and be prepared to face challenges, it will be more than what you expected! There were opportunities to explore on the listed companies (your clients) working culture and their industry knowledge. You can expand your capabilities here by handling endless projects. Anyway, had fun during CNY dinner, company trip and Christmas party. Appreciate the days and nights spent with the boss and colleagues there.
The challengesIf you expected to have work-life-balance, sorry to say you couldn't find any from this company. You required to develop your own mind-set-balance in order to get along with all challenged tasks. Dealing with the management level, clients and "heart attack" cases required your patient, mindful and attentive. Once you step into office/ client's office, just pray hard when the time you leaving still the "same day" as you come to work. Long working hours without OT pay, but you could have good basic salary compared to market rate. Performance review/ increments are not in scheduled basis and it depends on your luck & did you performed well in right timing. Be prepared for everything in last minute development/ changes; nothing is impossible, the only thing to do is deliver!

    Unfair and clueless
The good thingsThe colleagues that treats you like a family depending on whom you mix with. Be prepared to love TV drama and soap operas as there will be tons if it in the company. Smile, because you will be in it too. Located in the city outskirt, therefore no jam when you go to work. Attractive salary for fresh grad and newcomers. If you can get out from here alive, you're ready to face the jobs outside with no problem. This is the place where you should learn the skills and improve it yourself. You are required to have the whole industry skills and given workload to perform well in the company. If you don't have, no worries (80% employees are fresh grad and young anyways). You can just work something out behind your peers, and your days would be good even if you don't have the perks for the job. PLUS, good salary if you got the correct position in the company.
The challengesVery high level of toxic work-life balance that you can achieve here. Deadline in another two days? Don't worry, you have another 72 hour to work it out. This happen all the time, you will get used to it. This is an agency that provides nothing alike any agency out there, don't get your hopes high. You should have your own mind to think and execute, but not the mouth to speak and do the final decision. The management style should be greatly improved.

    Depends on what you want
The good thingsIf you are at young age, you are going after money, this is a place for you. The salary here is higher than normal market rate. The people here are not just colleagues, they could be your friends and second family too, giving you the sense of belonging here. Bonus, company trip, CNY dinner, Christmas dinner etc provided. You can joke around with the Boss, open working environment, have fun during low peak season.
The challengesYour health and time will be "compensated" by the high salary. Very low level of work-life balance here. Environment can be stressful and toxic during peak season (around Dec to April) due to heavy workload and tight timelines. You will need to stay back most of the time (No OT pay, which explains the high salary). Management style can be better improved. Learning area can be quite limited.

    Long Working Hours
The good thingsGood and friendly working partners. Nice aircond environment and a lot of food choices outside company. Flexible working hours.
The challengesLong Long Long working hours. Client FIRST and always follow clients needs. Work Overload ( Endless Brief ) and overnight is a must if client want it by tommorow. Basically change whole design if serious change. Health at risk and sacrifice yourself and time to this company is a MUST.

    Everything is unexpected
The good thingsYou can expand your capacity over here, dealing with all the endless briefs with limited time.
The challengesYou will have to double up your working hours in this company. Sacrifice your holidays, weekend, and yourself to this company. Dealing with unfair and unexpected circumstances.
