Pulau Indah Selangor1 to 2 years in the role, former employee
Valuable learning experience with strong teamwork and opportunities for growth, supported.
The good things I enjoyed the positive and supportive environment where teamwork and knowledge sharing made learning easier. I appreciated the chance to develop my skills through hands-on experience and being trusted with responsibilities, which built my confidence. Working with a diverse team also helped me gain new perspectives and approaches. Overall, it was a valuable experience that contributed to both my personal and professional growth.
The challengesOverall, the experience was good, but some areas can be improved. Communication can be clearer so everyone understands tasks and expectations better, reducing confusion. More structured training, especially at the beginning, would help new staff adapt faster. Clear processes and proper documentation would also make work smoother. During busy periods, workload can feel heavy, so better task distribution and planning would help balance it. Improving these areas can increase efficiency, reduce stress, and create a more supportive and organized working environment for everyone.

Appreciate the experience, but the company has to extensively work on the effort to engage the employees
The good things- Supportive colleagues - Strong sense of cooperation within departments - Global interaction internally or externally
The challenges- Discouraging management - Below market pay - Poor employees' welfare - Non-existent career development

Good working environment in terms of safety and cleanliness
The good things1) Use English a lot because of many foreigners 2) have many advantages working here such as medical support for the whole family, allowances, increments etc 3) achieved work-life balance
The challengesTakes quite some time for welders to be tested and qualified. New hires were to learn things by themselves by asking the senior workers.

good work environment with excellent management
The good thingsTop management has very good strategic plans and knows what is needed to maintain the company and its employees motivated. Willing to spend a lot on personnel development and infrastructure including for improving employee happiness. Has a proven business model that looks set to keep the company running for many years ahead. Employees are given everything they need to perform their job well and
The challengespay is average and HR are very strict about following the employee remuneration guidelines. so do not expect to be given high pay without good justification. however, this policy ensures everyone is paid their dues and nobody feels short-changed by being paid less than their counter-parts. This also ensure everyone is paid what they should be paid based on their work performance and position.

Its never been better at Cameron (Onesubsea)
The good thingsThe company provides 1st class accommodation when we went for external recruitment. We would fly even though to KL for recruitment exercise as the management don't want us to feel tired driving. My relationship with my immediate reporting boss then, was good. Employees relation was also good, we respect each other, culture as the company recruited workers from China, India, Philippines & others
The challengesTo ensure we produce 1st class product from our campus, we recruited experienced skilled workers, and the selecting exercise is very stringent. However, local employees employed & trained at our campus tends to look for better opportunity as O & G industry growing within the region. Pinching of employees within the same industry should be avoided within a specific time.
