Learned a lot of things, within organisation as well as personal development
The good thingsA good working environment, with good benefits. Close relationship between all staffs and great place to gain experience especially, people management. Practice open culture where staff can share thought and opinion with the management. Overall, the working culture is good. Not perfect but good,
The challengesThe HRA department should improve in communication with the employees. Decision should be made early and not last minute so that everything can be planned and execute smoothly.

Mediocre Comapny with an Uncertain Future
The good thingsColleagues are like family, with some sibling rivalry between sections. This is a company to work in if you look for work-life balance, most people clocks out on-time.
The challengesUncertain future - PADU's role and functions overlaps with some of the department in MOE. If Edu Minister carefully studies the impact of PADU, he might choose to close this company, the same like what happened to PEMANDU. Lack of capability building in teams and staff's skills are not utilized to its maximum potential. Some high performing staffs are doing mediocre tasks (event management)

Redundancy in functions, lack of capability building in teams
The good thingsIt's a good company for those who wants work-life balance. Most people would leave the office on time. Everyone in PADU works like a family, with some sibling rivalry between sections.
The challengesPADU's functions overlaps with several functions in MOE. There are redundancy in roles, hence why some officers in MOE do not respect PADU. However, some officers do highly value PADU's role for it's expertise in some areas. But looking at the future, PADU would most probably will be closed down if the Edu Minister studies carefully PADU's impact to MOE. There is also lack of capabilities building in teams. HR lack of skills (or probably just not interested) to develop staff's capability. Employee skills are not being utilized to its maximum potential. Some high performing staff are doing mediocre tasks (event management, etc.)

HR needs to make employees life better
The good thingsHR is open to suggestions.
The challengesHR is very quick to react to feedback and slow to respond with a solution. HR Director introduces new red tapes and bureaucracies for claims/benefits/allowances frequently.

    Driving education transformation in Malaysia
The good things1. Great opportunity to work with the top management of the Ministry of Education to improve the current education system and identify creative ways to solve existing problems in the Ministry. 2. Good experience in managing various types of projects that involve a wide range of stakeholders, and countless problems to solve on a daily basis. 3. Knowing that the hours that you put into your work will contribute to the nation's future is refreshing
The challenges1. Work is demanding and sometimes frustrating as system transformation takes time. If you truly want to excel and make a difference, the job can take a lot out of you. 2. While the job is primarily focused on project/programme management, stakeholder/people management will take up a lot of your time and in many cases, will be the determining factor in the success of your project. 3. Having prior experience working in consulting/project management will be an added advantage as employees are expected to perform with limited guidance/mentoring.

A job that will shape the Nation
The good thingsPADU provide me opportunity to shape the future of Malaysia education by delivering the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013 - 2025. It's absolutely satisfying job where you can see and feel the impact of your job. In terms of work experience, it's about new challenges every day and that's really exciting.
The challengesThe challenge is to get buy-in from the client in ensuring the education blueprint is delivered accordingly.
