    Good company to work for
The good thingsThis 2 years MCO, but no salary cut. Heard that other publishing companies have been cutting salary and staff retrenchment. Really appreciate it. Seating position more than 2m apart, and we are allowed to eat at our own desk. Sanitizing is done twice a day and I feel safe & happy!
The challengesWorking on different projects at the same time, but manager can be flexible in terms of deadlines

    Good management and career prospects
The good thingsGood place to learn and gain more experience. Have opportunity for career advancement. I notice there are quite a number of staff who has been working here for more than 20 years.

    Pros and Cons working here
The good thingsSupervisor and manager are always friendly to provide guidance, but only if you ask.
The challengesA lot of OT needed when the deadline is near. No work-life balance at all during that period. No career development. Poor salary also.

    Good bosses, challenging industry
The good thingsBosses teach you a lot about life's principles. Learnt about human nature in this industry.
The challengesSchoolbooks publishing industry - no longer attractive to younger generation esp salesperson due to income not good enough to have gf/wife.

    Close-knit working environment
The good thingsBecause of the small team, everyone had to depend on everyone else to help solve their editing problems. This includes cross- department relationships. Company trips are earned, not a privilege, but catered to a more family-oriented rather than team-building nonsense that tries to fit everyone into the same square holes. A fun place to hone editing skills.
The challengesMay need better benefits and higher salary offers to engage younger talent.
