Not a good place to work long term
The good things- Take input from workers to improve services - Free parking space - Subsidised canteen food
The challenges- super low salary increment & bonus - working half day for friday n sunday, but considered full day if take leave on that day - no workers union, management will easily implement rule to press on worker. - very slow career development - no travel allowance for workers live in penang mainland - not a considerate employer for working parents. - no programs conducted to improve teamwork (icebreaking / family day) resulted poor teamwork between workers.

stepping stone to jump to other hospital
The good thingsBenefits are really good for staffs and families. Cheap staff's lunch and meal. Multistorey car parks which is FOC.
The challengesDo not get to be promoted unless you are "Adventist" people in the sense everybody knew this is the tradition since long time ago. I believed I am pretty good and capable in my job and multitasking under minimal supervision but does not get appreciate by nursing department which make me so disappointed. Do not seem to have future here unless you just need a job or probably stepping stone to jump to other hospital or country.

    It was good experience
The good thingsMy department is a good team. This is because they are helping each others if you are facing the problem. My Manager also is a very kind and helpful person. She would like to help you although she busy with her things.
The challengesFirst of all, for me the challenge was a medical term. This is because I does not have any background study of the medical. So I need to push myself in order to provide a patient a correct information which is the correct diagnose with the correct doctors.
