    toxic management and low salary
    The good thingssalary on time and that's it.
    The challengesthe management & hierarchy is real. toxic management. work overload and the increment only rm50?? but the bosses can opened new outlet. and always said "sales tak naik" , "sales company decrease".

    Company that never values or appreciate your efforts and hardwork. Fake promise on career growth. Poor staff and staff welfare management.
    The good things- Learned alot abt pets - Found a better job
    The challenges- Short staffed and had to do most of the work - No proper team provided - Company don't value your contribution - Salary<workload, working hours, pressure - No work life balance, work 12 hours and even on offdays have to be prepared to ans calls and report in groups - yearly team spirit, buy food take picture and eat separately - promised job promotion never given - no proper management on staff welfare - no proper hiring team - not all staff entitled for bonus despite efforts and performance - poor communication and updates from HR - Constantly need to backup other outlet due to short staffs. - Poor efforts to retention of quality employees - Not much essential benefits for staff (No optical/dental/health insurance) I would never ever recommend this company to anyone unless if your interested to join a company that has no career growth, no appreciation on your efforts, performance and hardwork, a person who enjoys an unbalanced work life. One of the most energy and life draining company.

    Good starter for Freshies
    The good things1. Depending on which outlet you're assigned to, the co-workers are friendly and always helpful to each other. Senior staff willing to help guide new hires. 2. Product knowledge training every week so staff know about their products and can recommend them to customers 3. Satisfaction when customers are happy :)
    The challenges1. Facing difficult & entitled customers. 2. For some reason, some outlets are always understaffed, even if you work in shifts, you still have to work OT or cover another outlet if not enough staff. Even worse, you'll end up taking up responsibilities out of your job description a.k.a more work pressure. 3. For obvious reasons, little to NO work-life balance. Good starter for freshies looking for experience in retail/work experience in general for a short time. 4. Little benefit.

    The good thingsYou learn to know many lovely customers who devoted their love to pets are insanely in a top notch, desirable way for utmost care as treated them almost as their own children. In fact, to having a strong bond connection with pets is required alot of time and love wheareas the accompanying is a key that lead to such. In addition, you will need to work with your frontline retail staff to coordinate in team on sales floor and cashiering by deliver professional manners and customer service efficiently. Moreover, there are certain objectives and daily task we need to perform and complete them by the end of the day as daily basis.
    The challengesAlways facing shortage of manpowers, long hours of work and less attractive salary and benefits especially bonus performance.

    Ridiculous Job Placement Ads
    The good thingsAlready found a job elsewhere.
    The challengesI've not worked here before but can you imagine they advertise for managerial positions for more than 3 months and not once but periodically? Other companies have closed positions but their ads stay on for months. Makes you wonder whether are they for real? There are other opportunities elsewhere. Unless you don't mind wasting time with unprofessional management.

    The good thingsAble to learn a lot about animal foods and maintenance
    The challengesEnergy draining, work 5days a week 12 hours, most of time need to do OT on offdays. Salary is less compared to all energy poured in. All matters to them is sales figure. every day going to work was a stressful experience. No work life balance.

    Stingy company with obnoxious processes
    The good things- Employees discount when purchasing items from PLC - Great, responsible and friendly colleagues - Team leader can be pushy, but overall a nice and understanding person
    The challenges- No shifts (10am - 10pm) - Need to reach earlier to set up and clean the shop, and go back late to do closing accounts - No sitting down when customers are not around - Needs customer to rate our service for every single transaction, which slows down efficiency

    The good thingsYou can learn how to become confident in front of people and also can gain operation and product knowledge. Instead of doing operation work we also learn about the benefits of each product selling here and can meet a new friends here. Give it a try!

    Experience as a PLC Retail Staff
    The good thingsYou don't get to come in contact with the office people back in HQ. You only focus on selling pet products and bring good customer service. Its a fun environment to work depending on the outlet. I have personally experienced 3 outlets and each and every of them have their own distinctive operations. You will be trained from all angle including sales, management & rapport building.
    The challenges1. Retail sector is always running low on staff and even having your rest day is hard. 2. Want to have rest day on weekends? Expect it to be on weekdays. Slim chances on weekends because the shop needs more people to serve customers as PLC focuses more on serving customers. 3. If your Team Leader is good person, you will learn more. 4. Prepare to get body-ache on your first week.
