The challengesHad close to no work most of the time during my internship here. The marketing team is not welcoming towards interns while also giving you task without proper instructions.

Friendly and open atmosphere
The good thingsColleagues were friendly and willing to teach. The working environment encouraged independent learning, feedback would be given by superiors on how to improve. It is a good stepping stone for engineers wanting to gain experience and venture into automation industries in the future.
The challengesWorking independently is a must. Spoonfeeding is not available here

Electrical engineer internship trainee

Not suitable for internship
The good thingsDeveloping electrical installation company with lots of projects going on such as MRT, hospital, commercial, factories etc. which gives opportunities to gain experience and exposure in different kinds of electrical installation engineering and project management if you are pro-active and independent.
The challengesExperience seniors are limited and overly occupied in addition with company lacks of a clear and structured training program for new staff or intern, which causes new staff lack in direction and wasting time in the early stage of entering the company. As for internship learning curve is very flat due to jobs given by seniors and supervisors are mostly quantity counting with very minimal exposure to design. Personally felt, even though being pro-active in trying to help and asking for work from seniors, yet the jobs given are still monotonous and repetitive counting with slow learning curve. Not recommended for internship if you are looking for some place to really learn and gain experience in design.

The good thingsHR did their best in terms of appealing to the needs of the entry level interns by having scheduled appointments. Open and casual meeting with supervisors which helped interns to understand the roles given

New beginner have hard times here
The good thingsProvide training if still learning. Good environment and colleagues. Experience staff most welcome here because that what they need the most. Too many benefits for the worker. Expect tons of knowledge to be learned here if you grab the opportunity. There also training for soft skill here beside learning the skill to work.
The challengesMost of the time you have to work alone. Sometimes they will give you work task that you didn't know yet. If you didn't survive working alone, you will be deadweight to your department. If you don't feel you can advance working here after 2 years, you need to leave.
