    Low Salary, Poor Management
The good thingsAble to gain experience in Oil & Gas engineering.
The challengesThe company could improve by managing newcomers more systematically. They forgot that I am coming in on my first day. Moreover, they took 2 weeks to give me an office access card and lanyard, and 1 month to give me an access card into the building. Poor HR and office management.

Best starting line to attain knowledge on Oil and Gas sector
The good thingsRanhill Worley Sdn Bhd has been one of the successful company in consultation firm that offers EPCM contract to their client. Friendly working colleagues and flexing hours. For starters, training was provided by giving actual work for the best working experience.
The challengesRequires a lot of communicating skills with colleagues to reduce miscommunication and misinterpretation for some ongoing projects. Requires common knowledge to interpret drawing of the platforms to lessen time and improve understanding on the next step to be done. Although, facing difficulties while executing your work is also the necessity as a learning process to improve knowledge in Oil and Gas sector.

    Good place to work
The good thingsI worked as an IT Technician trainee at this company before. Tasks given to me were quite easy to solved and the other office mates of the same department were quite helpful most of the time while I was there.
The challengesTasks given must be done before the deadline. As It was a global project started by the headquarter to replace all the aging equipment used by the personnel working here. It took me and the seniors 4 to 5 months to get everything done

A professional outfit with competent engineers always striving for excellence and continuous learning.
The good thingsThe management team under my charge was empowered and motivated to deliver projects as expected of the Board. While the company was well regulated it provides the employees the freedom to express their views openly in a safe environment. This was conducive to good team work and I have engineers from all over the world, Australia, Britain, New Zealand, India, Canada, etc., with staff number peaking at 1,800.
The challengesKeeping everyone marching at the same pace in the same direction faster than the competition!

Manage to attain a worklife balance lifestyle but not a good place for career advancement.
The good thingsWorklife balance, flexible timing arrangement
The challengesVery bad management, cutting benefits, low pay compared to other shared service, very micro managed by the upper level management, too much pinpoint on peoples' mistakes instead looking ways to solve issues.

    Growth opportunity, happy working environment.
The good thingsWorking environment. Multiracial with everybody contributing to make the workplace a happy place.Flexible working hours. Half day on Friday even though you still have to complete the working hours on Monday to Thursday.
The challengesTruthfully, at that time, it was only due to the location. Very heavy traffic. As a family woman, i need to get back early. But now, there's MRT.
