    Memorable…

The challengesVery limited files, difficult and poor management of firm, and benefits are almost non-existent

    Very impressed
The good thingsI was offered a place to work in their litigation unit but eventually had to turn it down because another offer came along. I was very impressed with the quality of my interview and the thoughtful discussion i had with the Managing Partner who showed me a different way to look at the law and my career. I had never experienced such professionalism or legal approaches in my earlier jobs.
The challengesI think this can be a challenging place to work and meet partners expectations.

Great learning experience with very experienced and helpful partners and associates
The good thingsRLSE (Mont Kiara main branch) provides a very conducive environment for pupils and young lawyers just starting out in the legal career, with ample learning opportunities and a niche range of work to hone a practitioner's skills in corporate law as well as dispute resolution. Although the learning curve may be steep at times, partners and associate are always ready to guide and help juniors along, also always making sure that sufficient guidance is given to maximize the learning experience. The managing partner himself has a great eye for detail and an extremely sharp, intelligent mind, allowing anyone under his guidance Not only that, the partners, associates and clerks in RLSE all provide a warm environment to optimize the working experience in the firm, prioritizing bonding and establishing inter-personal relationships. It's truly a great firm to establish one's legal career.
The challengesAs with many corporate law firms, corporate work can be seasonal and whilst there are times when I am productively occupied with work, there will be pockets of free periods with lesser on my plate because work is rarely evenly spread out.

You will certainly be a better lawyer.
The good thingsThe Managing Partner is really willing to teach and share his experience with his subordinates. You will certainly learn a lot from him which ultimately makes you a better and more professional legal practitioner. The legal training that you will undergo here is very exceptional and different from most of the firms in town. The colleagues here are also very friendly and close to each other.
The challengesIt may be stressful, hurtful and/or painful sometimes, but in the end you will appreciate and thankful that you were once working in this firm.

    Great Working Environment & Colleagues
The good thingsFriendly colleagues and healthy working environment with lots of room to grow as a professional. Tremendous learning experience as partners and senior associates are willing to teach and share their knowledge and experience. Great exposure as you are expected to get involve in cross border deals due to the firm's excellent client base and network internationally.
The challengesPublic transportation system in the vicinity of the office is not good enough.

    Great learning opportunity
The good things1. You'll be able to learn and be guided directly by well-experienced Partner. 2. You'll have great seniors who are willing to teach and share their experiences. 3. You'll be able to focus on the works that you are allocated. 4. You'll learn things in a proper and professional manner. 5. You'll have occasional bonding sessions.
The challenges1. Standard required is very high, thus, you'll have to put the extra effort to be meticulous in the things that you do.

    Confidence booster
The good thingsMany opportunities to be exposed to high quality work with big name clients. You will not encounter being pigeon holed into specific areas of practice and will have plentiful of opportunities for interaction with clients. If you embrace all this, you will develop quickly and give you the confidence to take on new challenges.
The challengesYou will need to be be nimble and able to think robustly outside your usual realms of comfort.

    Good experience
The good thingsI enjoyed the work they gave me which was always interesting. They are very good lawyers and very thorough.
The challengesIt would have been good if I had more work experience. It was difficult getting work from the lawyers who seemed too busy.

    Dream job
The good thingsExcellent working and learning enviroment. Great exposure to high level work and great team support. Absense of typical office politics that can make other work enviroments toxic and stressful. Solution driven with a strong work hard play harder ethic.
The challengesThe firm had excellent office retreats and team building exercises. With the expanded team as a result of the firm merger, it maybe a good idea to reinstate such retreats and exercises.

It has its faults but I learnt alot
The good thingsThis is not a firm for the faint hearted, they are tough when it comes to getting work done on time and done right, so if you are not prepared for stress and criticism then you are probably not cut out for this place. I had a great time and learnt so much about the law.
The challengesSmall staff pool and having to do many things yourself.
