you must be prepare to be strong mentally & physically
The good thingsYou learn more skills as the committee change every year so u must be extra proactive. You will be mold into perfect team player and problem solver and will be able to stand pressure as able to accommodate management & committee needs to ensure the task is done.Working environment is good as this is hotel & hospitality line, the working environment is full of challenging everyday yet is fun as staff are happy to greet members and assist them with smile. For young ppl Its a place to learn and get experience . A good place for the senior ppl to work.
The challengesAs the committee change every year the ideas change too and its take time to adopt. Highly politic. Few of the Senior Hod doesn't like the down line staff or the peer staff to be proactive and don't accept the new ideas to adopt to the new changes in line with market change outside. The benefit/perk and welfare of the staff is average its change according to the Committee. must be able to cope up maximum pressure as you have to receive command from management & committee as well. As a results most of the manager resigned except those who almost expecting to retired age they sustain here. Well ,Job is not stressful but the ppl are stressful.
