    I have worked at MNC, several fortune 500 company and etc. I could say with confidence Sapura SST is in a unique proposition right now to be a proper software house in malaysia, if you wanted to contribute and believe in local homegrown company. This is your calling ! come join here
    The good things1. The work life balance here is so insanely good. This is a company that treats you as a human, and not a tool 2. Learning opportunity, potential to equip skillset on the fly 3. Workpace pace is relaxed albeit there is still urgency here and there, but all good stuff 4. Competency is highly encrouraged here 5. Most of the sapura employee has worked for a long time(not contract employee) - tells you alot about how the company values you
    The challenges1. pure malay glc mindset (lack of urgency + not a fan of innovation) - not a bad thing but will restrict alot of outside business expertise or ideas that help increase the efficiency of the project or company growth 2. Sometimes, it is too relax. But well its a good thing also, double edge sword 3. Seamless, efficiency, centralization of working process level is quite bad. Why ? every department has own process and inter departmental communication is not so frequent. This may due to too much trusting and lack of micro manage(not a bad thing)

    The challengesToo many secrets. Present to the management like wow, but the reality is...(well, it's secret). Too many sweets given but for almost 5 years there is no salary increase.

    The good thingsTasks are very easy. No challenges.
    The challengesSystem (not my project) is not matured enough. It is as if it is written by someone who has little to no idea what it should have. No basic security or version control. Codes are not written well enough. I'd expect a code sharing session to ensure everyone gets the idea, but there's none. Not to mention that, a vendor couldn't even differentiate a method or class when I asked him about it. Not sure how is the hiring process

    technical mastery is one of the sapura vision.
    The good things1. Staff that involve with technical was comprehensively been trained to be an expert. 2. Some of the supervisor are giving you flexibility for you to plan and execute the work. so you have the opportunity to be different.
    The challenges1. some of your idea , even its going to improve the process, but sometime your voice is unheard. depend on your supervisor on how they escalate your concern.

    The good thingsThe good old working days of Sapura Service Centre 2000 - 2002, Sapura Technologies 2003 - 2007, Sapura Advanced System & Sapura Marketing 2008 - 2011. Those years were the best!
    The challengesWorking alone without help from the past. Driving alone to the creepy communication towers in the middle of the night!

    The challengesThe not so good corporate development system they practice here, make you lose your focus very easily where you have to involved in at least 5 different projects (or more) at a time.No planning for human resource development and last but not least, the CEO micromanaging habits!

    The good thingsVery good and valuable working experience. More site work than office work.Stressful? Not really but overcoming the stress will bring more joy and satisfaction when working. Salary is quite the average. Decent annual leave to spend.
