    The good thingsGood experiences gained with high technical knowledge. Great colleagues working with. Project-based company with a flexible working environment. A great base to enhance skills and experience especially in monorail industries. The only Malaysian company who did a fabulous achievement especially on the rail fields.
    The challengesThe company is struggling in term of the financial wise. People who start to leave for a better opportunity. Vacancies are freeze and no allocation budget for new hiring.

    The good thingsKnowledge sharing is one of the best culture here. As an electrical engineer, I got the opportunity to do electrical design and hands-on.

    The good thingsThe CEO, En Shah Hakim is a great leader and the culture implanted among the staff is really good. It does reflected \"Think Global, Act Local\". It also embrace a good teamwork. The company also support work life balance by implemented the flex working hours for the staff. Though they were facing a hard time to maintain the business, they are positive and working together.
    The challengesDuring time they worked on restructuring process in year 2013, my department is affected and this gave a back impact towards my career path. By shut down few department does change most people that affected.

    Big name but very messy inside
    The good thingsAs an engineer, I'm able to explore new ideas and implement them into a working functional system. The beauty of work here is just that I'm allowed to develop a complete system and see it being used on the final product. The learning curve obtained is a complete cycle, as I'm made to be responsible on all facets of work scope, which traverses vendor engagement, costing, planning, quality acceptanc
    The challengesOperational processes are not well written or non existence which are prone to misconstrued actions. Reporting line are fairly non existence as it changes every 3 months, with resigned posts are not filled or people getting transferred without replacement. Hard to work and manage expectations without a job description. Fulfilling expectations does not always translate to monetary returns.

    The good thingsSCOMI rail provide a very good coverage of benefits. their benefits covers every one in your family members. Even though their salary is not that high but the it is offset with benefits provided. Besides, i had a very good and superb superior. he is very sporting and very knowledgeable. he always share his experience and never give up on me. he also shares his experiences.
    The challengesnew industry. from oil and gas to railway industry. i have to learn a new system. but, i was lucky to have a good mentor that guide me alot.

    The good thingsScomi Engineering Berhad is a good place to learn everything on railway design and manufacturing. The company had train international level and high quality engineer. The environment allow you to have great learning curve though out the experienced mentor and self learning from the activities.
    The challengesThe company is not doing well in project due to cash flow. The first project had impact a lot in the financial flow of the company and most of the engineer left the company.
