A good experienced working with the prestigious organization
The good things1) The positive attitude of the organization staff to comply with the security & safety procedures & guidelines. 2) SC have the well organised and competent security personnel (Auxiliary Police) and also the credible Emergency Response Team (ERT) members to cater for any emergency security & safety situations.
The challenges1) To maintain the functionality of the existing security systems (need to continuously review and upgrading it from time to time). 2) To ensure the security personnel stay motivated, effective and efficient in executing their roles and responsibilities.

    Good benefit, work life balance
The good thingsBeing a regulatory external auditor, SC gives me good insight on application and enforcement of our guidelines. Good work life balance, good for family oriented person. Good benefit medical, dental, loan interest subsidy (vehicle & mortgage). Bosses are generally good but some are intellectually challenged and incompetent.
The challengesDisconnected with industry, some policies and work are syok sendiri for the bosses to please the Chariman, salary cannot match industry. high turnover as the industry is offering more money. Increment average 3-5%. If you are trying to grow your career from inside as fresh grad, you will lose out to your friends outside in the capital market industry. Medical used to be unlimited for new hires maybe not so.

Good place to kick-start your career.
The good thingsExcellent medical benefits that covers spouse and children, panel hospitals of renowned names, professional environment, great yearly bonus. The management promotes work-life balance trough many initiatives.
The challengesCareer progress is not so great here, although there is opportunity for lateral transfer to other department. It may depend on bosses though. Salary is average although it may be compensated at year-end bonus.

10 years experience working at Malaysia's capital market regulator
The good thingsThe room for professional growth is enormous at the SC. You learn alot about the capital market industry and can expand your professional network. The SC also has very high work ethics and standard. Expectations from your managers and management is also very high, which helps develop you faster. They have good medical benefits, loans and provide on-site creche and nursing room.
The challengesThe rate of career progression needs to be improved. The SC is a very hierarchical organisation with big power gap. It can take up to 4 years for an executive to move up to the next level. Decision-making can be slow too. While they offer staggered working hours, they do not offer flexible working arrangements to meet millennials and working mothers' needs. Working hours can be long.

    Great Experience With Good Employer
The good thingsGood career opportunity awaits those who are competitive and work hard. Nice and intelligent building add up to the good office ambience. Its facilities are good be it the gymnasium or auditorium. Parking are free and its location makes travelling to office a nice experience. SC has very good salary and benefit in-kind packages.
The challengesTo join the SC as workforce is not easy unless you know someone powerful inside. You must pass several tests and interviews before you are welcome into the family. Unless you are SC's scholar or really good, fresh graduates find it difficult to join the SC. You must be able to speak English fluently and understand your job scope well.
