Generally an average place to start of as a first job, but growth opportunities plateau after awhile.
The good things1. Supportive colleagues, generally patient and willing to help each other. 2. Good learning environment, college is in major transformation phase, and everybody i learning together 3. Recently achieved 6-star status, and positive changes in college happen on a moderate speed.
The challenges1. Growth opportunities are limited. Systems are outdated, and mostly run on manual processes. 2. Constantly working on a supposed \"limited budget\". Financial support may be lacking for staff or student organized events. 3. Due to a \"mostly\" manual process, employees may find that there is nothing new to learn after awhile.

Good for working environment for work life balance.
The good thingsThe team spirit and atmosphere is a key factor that I stick with this job for over 2 years. We are working like a family and looks after each other, provide guidance and exchange knowledge. The relationship with student are great especially watching them on graduation ceremony.
The challengesThe career advancement and exposure are limited due to the city itself is quite a laid back place.

    Rapport with self-job-congruence
The good thingsA good environment for learning. You will need to accept the challenges of drastic changes from time to time, behave, and convert into a positive emotion. Benefits are ok, flexibility is available for your improvement. You can be a part of every event no matter it is from academic or non academic team. Flexibility of your own way to solve the problems or handle a project.
The challengesChanges happened too fast until you never have the time to catch up, includes budget, verbal promises, benefits and purchasing. Be the middle person for vendor/supplier to the company is the hardest issue until you will be scolded by them, while the management is not even supportive and pointing finger at the same time. Many inter-department issues never been solved, especially benefit-related.
