    Offers Fix Flexi hour
    The good thingsShimano have fix Flexi hour. You can either enter from 7, 8, 9 or 10am. Subsequently the clock out time is either 4.30, 5.30, and etc. Hostel is provided and the factory is located in remote area. So living cost is low. The salary is ok.
    The challengesYou must be able to cope with high workload and able to complete the job within short time and under tons of stress. Most of the time will experience micro management. There are many rules and regulations that need to be fulfilled.

    Good for fresh grads, but have some drawbacksI have learnt a lot and grown professionally at Shimano. This workplace is highly recommended for fresh grads to start building career in manufacturing. You can learn a lot and gain experience here. But maybe not in a longer term. Some departments have good career growth, some might not. Because if it is in one team, you have limited things to learn. If you want to learn more, you have to be proactive and have eagerness to explore by yourself. And if you cannot deal with fast-paced kind of working environment, it will be hard for you to sustain working here. Some teams or departments will might need to change their direction every half. So you have to adapt quickly with the changes. There will be lots of meetings, it's up to you whether you take it as difficulty or constructive feedback. Time management is also crucial here and it will teach you on self-discipline. Hostel & meal provided for employees that live outside from pontian, skudai, gelang patah. There's also gym and badminton court provided for their staffs. Also have allowance for productivity. Other than that, nothing much. But starting salary for Fresh grads is high and competitive here.

    Good place to start career as a fresh grad
    The good thingsGood place to start career as a fresh grad, guidance will be provided, supervisor and management willing to teach. One thing I really liked is that people will not disturb you with work after working hour & if you are on leave/MC (at least for my dept.). Free lunch, hostel and parking. OT (paid by hours) is not compulsory as long as you ensure job is done.
    The challengesWorking environment is like a local school, very discipline in terms of time such as clock in/out, lunch hour (you will have bell for that) etc, and in uniform. Many unnecessary F2F meetings where something can be just settled through emails or short teams call. Canteen menu repeated by weekly (but foc). No team-bonding activities held for staffs except fishing/cycling. If you stay in hostel & without car, the surroundings are quite boring.
