    if you have the chance, go. u will get to experience being in a company that appreciate their staff.
    The good thingsI enjoyed the annual performance review (2 times a year with bonus), 2 days alternately WFH and also the flexible working hours, which rarely found from other japanese company.
    The challengesEventho i enjoy the bonus, yearly increment is quite slow. and also didnt quote enjoy canteen food. always prefer bringing my own lunch box,because of the repetitive menu.

    Avoid the design department because of extreme hours & poor management. Other departments are fine.
    The good thingsFlexible working hours
    The challengesThe work-life balance in the design department is the worst, with staff expected to work nearly every day including holidays. You will work almost every day, including holidays. Shifts regularly exceed 12 hours. There is a toxic cycle of trying to come in early to get home early, only to end up leaving late anyway. Leaving on time is highly discouraged. Management struggles with uneven workload distribution and ineffective leadership where bosses frequently critique without offering constructive solutions. The constant project overlaps create overwhelming stress making it particularly difficult for married employees to maintain family time. Additionally, office politics have created an environment where those who talk more than they deliver seem to advance, while new team members are left to problem-solve without meaningful guidance from leadership.

    Good exposure as a Junior in Supply Chain Field
    The good thingsI really had a good leader. She lead us well and taught me how to handle the things along the way while i'm just a junior and first time get in touch in Seihan role.
    The challengesSometimes is not easy to work with the local sales company or regional and the Japan HQ, but this is the time to teach me how to handle work by communication and also some skill to buy myself some time just to settle the problems

    The good thingsFew years back was good with career growth, overseas plant support. Now everything have been cut-off including promotion
    The challengesNot much enjoyable now especially with office politics who benefit on people who talk much do less. New gen have to think for the boss since bosses only know how to comment but with zero idea of improvement

    Low pay, high work load
    The good things1) Exposure to a complete design process. 2) Great amount of things to learn especially for fresh grad. Provided if you have the enthusiasm. 3) Opportunity is for you to grab (it comes at a cost) 4) Spend company money to learn on design mistakes
    The challenges1) Low value added work, have to complete a full test plan with alot of hard labour work on top of task at hand. 2) Because of the culture of keeping incompetent members in the company, the responsibility depends on yourself. The reward for doing more is even more responsibility with minimal compensation. (And they will say that it's the most competitive salary in the area) 3) As a junior, I had to work with 3 international plants to resolve an issue by myself. (Guidance are not technical, with no proper thought process in root cause study. Purely trial and error) 4) Management does not bother about mental health, so as long as the job gets done. And if anything happens, it's not the job, IT'S YOU! 5) Technical skills is sub-par at best. And every design concepts are mostly just a refresh of legacy products. 6) Don't expect to achieve your KPI if you just do what is required within working hours. Working hours are mostly spent on evaluations and no value added tasks. (Not including design work and handling supplier)

    The good thingsNice and friendly colleagues who always support and share their knowledge and give advice. Cheap food in canteen although not much option. Good place to gain knowledge and learn new things
